In the eighties away to Leceister we threw away a 4-0 or was it 3-1 lead to draw 4-4. grrrrr

I was at that one, I think it was 4-2 at half time to us and featured a very bad goalkeeping error in the second half. In the end we were lucky to get a draw.

95/96 season i think, it was Huddersfield at home finished 0-0 absolutly nothing happened the whole game.

every touch was met with a groan by both supporting fans!

Gillingham away 03/04. Shocking 1-0 defeat under Steve Kember, they had man sent off, freedman missed pen and had to sit in a temporary stand with no cover right next to the pikeys!

lol, it was just funny to see the same match replayed at selhurst with te opposite result. we wer 10 men down, they missed a pen and we won it 1-0

0-1 v port vale, the game a few people have already mentioned. Kolinko fluffed a backpass and the guy slotted it in, absolute rubbish. Also, same scoreline, same team, a few years before that.I think it was an Ian Bogie goal. Port Vale have got to be one of our Bogey teams ;P

One for the Newbies.

Last season Blackburn at home 0-0 and sooo boring and wet

Yes that was dire, I remember bringing my friend along to sit in my dad's season ticket in the main stand, and the only good part was the fight, well thats what he said...

Luckily for me (so no egg on my face) is that his dad is a palace fan, and he said he WOULD come again! PHEW!

Also remember Wayno being put through from the half way line on a 1 on 1 with Freidel and I was saying "Hold up, havenīt seen this before surely gonna score."
Wayne ran straight at Freidel never thinking of shooting and then tried to go round him in the 6 yard box without ever looking like scoring.

Was a diabolically bad game aswell as the Charlton game before it. Both teams should have been awarded 0 pts.

I see a few people have mentioned the Leicester away 4-4 which was frustrating because George Wood gifted them the eualiser but it was far from an awful game.
Is an awful game not one where we played crap?
Christ the popmey home match where we were 2-0 up and lost 3-2 in the last ten mins was annoying but exciting and i would not call it awful.

Sorry if alrady mentioned but mine has to be Bradford away 98/99 (?) when Venables was in charge.

I got piss wet through in a downpour before the game then watched us leak a goal just before half time to make it 1-1.

Then, with the pitch getting seriously waterlogged, the officials (with agreement from both managers) abandoned the game at half time!

To make matters worse the tightarses only gave ticketholders 1/2 price entry to the replayed fixture. Palace fans went mental (as most of us had forked out over Ģ100 on travel/tickets etc to get there).

A truly s*** day.

I also remember travelling to Orient for a cup game midweek. If I remember rightly it rained all night and it was the most dire game you could ever imagine and just as it was heading to extra time Mark Bright scored for us.

And that was the replay after a 0-0 at home. I was unfortunate enough to go to both.

I've left 3 games early

Crewe at home 3-1, left at half time. Truly appalling

Same season, West Ham away 3-0, left 15 mins early. We were just severely outclassed and it was an embarrassment

Season before, Dowie's Oldham at home in the cup (Tommy Black brace), left 10 mins early. Not a bad game as it goes but I just wanted to beat the traffic

Grimsby Away lost 5-2! i turned up 20mins late and still saw them put 5 past us! Butterfield terrorized us down the right. Think Julian scored a free kick and Morrision got 1 (which the ever-so talented akinbyi tried 2 claim!). Millwall away on boxing day losing 3-0 was crap the millw*** fans were cheering our players every time we passed the ball!

I would say most of the evening games i've ever been to, why do we play sooo badly at home in the evening? 3-0 to wimbledon when CARL LEABURN scored and Ismael was absolute pants. 3-1 to Coventry when I travelled down from Uni and we were really terrible. 3-1 to Crewe with the sing when its foggy song, and we all really thought we were gonna get relegated which makes it more amazing how Dowie turned things around. 1-0 to Watford and Bradford and God knows who else where they came for a 0-0 draw, we showed no imagination and they scored by mistake...But then Saturday games are pretty awful too. 2-0 to Reading in 95 when they had only one shot (Richard Shaw lobbed Martyn with a backpass).

The most upsetting game I ever saw would have to be 2-1 to leicester at Wembley. But the only time I ever cried was the cup final replay in 1990, well I was only 8.
