No. Because I have a relationship with Christ, does it enter your head that your best friend doesn't exist?

I have more proof that my best friend exists than you do for God existing.

Sorry Mattweb, when have I talked about christianity and reincarnation? Questions, do you think gay marriage is ok? Do you think it is evil to have an abortion when you know a child is going to be handicapped? Do you believe stem-cell research is against "the lord's" wishes? Do you think that people have a right to blood transfusions? Does Israel belong to the Jews and does Palestine deserve its own state? Sorry about the name calling but I seriously believe religion does a great deal of harm. If I was to go out with a load of regular blokes who have no hatred in them and don't discriminate others I'd be surronded by people I respect. Unfortunately religious people often don't posess these qualities. Another thing, you implied Islam is an evil religion in earlier post. I'm not naieve and think christianity believes in reincarantion, contrary to what you think I'm not an idiot. If you have misread my post then please read over it again. Answer the above questions honestly, lets see your true colours.

jcreedy, am I being well harsh as I do get hot under the collar over all this. Mattweb, I can slightly see where I may have been misread with regards to the reincarnation stuff. What I was really referring to was these nutters who believe disabled people have "demons" inside them, and such idiots do exist. Still would like answers to questions though.

Laddo Thanks for the apology. Regarding the reincarnation thing, this is what you said. You asked in a suggestive manner, by asking along side many other social beliefs that Christians sometimes have, whether I believed disabled kids were being punished for previous sin. Quote laddo at 02 Nov 2004 6:11pm
Do you agree with homosexuals in your church? Do you think that disabled kids are paying for a previous sin, This is a belief not shared with Christianity, you must be confusing me with Glenn Hoddle, who most certainly is not a Christian. Here are the answers to your questions: I think marriage is between man and woman, it is a ceremony to make one's commitment for life, and to celebrate their love. Homosexual marriage is an oxymoron. I think stem cell research is wrong, and I don't think that the God who created life, wanted us to abuse and kill life for the sake of science, no matter what gain comes of it. I have no problem with blood transfusions, why would I? The Bible prophecises that the Jews will form a land called Israel. Israel did not exist until 1948, so that is another example of Biblical prophecy coming true. Yes I do believe Islam as a religion is evil, I do not however hate muslims, infact as a Christian I love them. Loving someone does not mean agreeing with them or condoning them. I love my 3 year old son, but don't agree with him lying. If you read the Koran you will have to agree with me. Read it and I urge you to read it fairly in the context not just of that particular passage but also in the Koran as a whole. How else better to judge it. A point I made earlier to JCreedy

I hope that answers your questions. I have come onto this site as a Palace fan to talk about Palace and to find out who what players we were linked with. I spotted this forum and read stuff with no intention of talking about my relationship with Christ or preaching. I guess because my views are based on my belief that the Bible is a foundation for us all, people guessed I was a Christian - not that I am ashamed, but I don't want to get people's backs up. I am just being honest.

How can you condemn stem-cell research which potentially could make a better life for someone yet at the same time agree with blood transfusions which again, make life for people better in many cases like those involved in car accidents.? I truly don't understand. Men and women get married to celebarate their love of one another, why can't that also be the same for two men or two women who feel that same love we do for our girlfriends and in your case for you wife?

Good questions. There is a massive difference between stem cell research and blood transfusions. Blood transfusions are when a mature adult gives their own consent to give blood, which will cause them no harm at all. It is then used to save lives. Giving blood is very admirable. Stem cell research is when they work on and kill unborn babies, without their consent. What homosexuals do is nothing to do with me, I don't think it is natural and don't condone gay sex. If they want to do it in their own homes, who am I to judge, I am also a sinner (in other ways!) But when you start talking about allowing them to marry, and adopt children I think it is not just condoning but encouraging a behaviour which is highly unnatural. It teaches our children that homosexuality is just as normal as hetrosexuality, and I don't believe it is. A perfect family should have one father and one mother.

Mattweb, I've been unduly harsh, and the name calling was wrong. The thing is I find religion abhorent and see so much wrong in the world caused by religion and people's inability to maybe see that their ideas and their way of thinking is fundamentally wrong. Religion does get my back up, and I find people preaching as offensive as racism and discrimination. To be honest I think religion and discrimination goes hand in hand. Why else does Bush blatantly discriminate against homosexuals yet claims to be a christian at the same time? However I was wrong to get so angry and start getting personal and for that I do apologise sincerely and I really meant no offence. Whatever you believe is your business, I just think such beliefs are very dangerous and can cloud the judgement of the most intelligent human beings.
