The BBC are reporting that the shooter has been identified from DNA and that he was a registered Republican. To our American friends on here, if you register as a supporter of a political party are you given information on events relating to that party in your locality? As such, could the shooter have joined the Republican Party to get this info ahead of the general public thereby giving him time to pick his spot?

Getting that out in the open and trying to find a way to ensure a more measured and respectful approach is essential. No one in their right mind supports an attempted assassination which resulted in loss of life and I certainly don't. It is though evidence of a much bigger problem, made worse by the free availability of powerful weapons. The biggest barrier to solving this is Trump. Biden's response was dignified and personal. Are you pleased that Trump survived the attempt on his life?

I really don’t know the answers but I know a significant amount of undeclared Democrats registered Republican (just a yes or no response needed when voting) to vote for Nicki Haley to influence the primaries!
