Remember him against Leeds when he got his head busted open and came back on with five stitches in it.

Ayew has been brilliant for us, just the sort of player you need to get under the oppositions skin which he does tirelessly….

Yep. Good footwork, draws fouls and relieves the pressure.

And should always be remembered for that last minute winner v West Ham.

Well worth the £2m he cost.

He must be really frustrating to play against.

Sarr and Ayew are good players but are both right sided.

I still worry we haven’t got enough ammunition down the left particularly in the wing-back position to provide cover and competition for Mitchell.

I have even seen him smile recently!

He would be a loss as apparently he is a very popular and respected member of the group. The trouble is he doesn’t have a natural place in the Glasner system and has looked lost and frustrated. He was perfect for Roy’s and the affection he had for him was apparent with that emotional statement when Roy left.

It would be difficult to see him go because he always gives 100% and that’s what fans love. Hard for him too as he seems to have a genuine affection for the club. So whilst he may go somewhere where his style can be productive I wonder when he retires whether he will return. When asked which player will most likely become a manager the others tend to mention Ayew. Which surprised me, as he looks quiet and uncommunicative. Who knows?

Unless OG has seen something in young ebiowei to suggest he has the energy and quality to provide the cover we need ?

Whilst Sarr was at Watford, I only saw him play briefly and to be brutally honest on the rare occasions I saw him perform I was not overly impressed.

In his defence it can't have been easy playing to the requirements of a different manager every four months.

I can see where you're coming from and I saw matches where the game seemed to pass him by and you'd barely know he was playing.
However, there were occasional flashes of bursts of searing pace and strong running which really unsettled the opposition.
I don't think he's a player for a struggling team, but if the rest of the team is functioning well I think he has something to offer.

More broadly it's a shame for one reason or another that JRS or Ebiowei are not deemed ready.
Both are closer in style to Olise than Sarr in that they favour playing on the right despite being left footed and they prefer to cut in rather than go outside.
While acknowledging that they are still young, I would question whether they have a first team future at Palace, even though I'm sure they could at a different level.
They should be screaming to be included as there is a vacancy and making it impossible for Glasner to ignore them.

I can envisage a midfield two of Wharton and Doucoure (or Lerma). In front of them Eze and Kamada (or Sarr) depending who we are playing and the state of the match. Unless we buy a CF Mateta will remain the obvious choice up top.

Assuming there are not more outgoings I agree this looks to be the most likely looking lineup.
I note from today's friendly that JRS is getting a start, but still no sign of Franca.
I wonder if he's even back in full training and whether he fits enough for the USA trip.
