And clowns like yourself pretending a milkshake is an ‘attack’ will always be silly. A milkshake is one thing but when there are two acid attacks a week in London anyone having anything thrown over them is likely to be a bit stressed.

The point is not he was hit with a milkshake it’s the fact it could have been acid or broken glass etc. If these people aren’t jailed then eventually it will be more sinister. Agreed

Farage was hit by brick or a concrete piece from a building site just a day or so after this milkshake. I know some are tone deaf to escalation while attacks on politicians are celebrated as a bit of a laugh but clearly that attitude emboldens these attacks. Edited by Stirlingsays (11 Jun 2024 11.51pm)

As has already been demonstrated with a crayon to you, we exist in a world where acid attacks have been normalized, we previously had Jo Brand 'joke' about throwing battery acid over Farage. Only Farage seems to produce this type of reaction. His attitude almost invites it because it is so often confrontational. Maybe he needs to have a screen in front of him or be so far from the crowd it couldn’t happen.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

I don’t condone this kind of behaviour, whoever is involved. It is just silly and juvenile. It isn’t though an attack. No one is going to be hurt by a milkshake. They might be annoyed or embarrassed but not hurt. That some target Farage with this kind of behaviour and not, apparently at the moment, anyone else, is interesting of itself. Why do they do that? Is it because they see him as a ridiculous politician who deserves a ridiculous response rather than a reasoned argument? I strongly doubt too many here will see it that way but many others might and it could be making a political statement to them. I don’t know, but I don’t see it as any kind of genuine physical attack. It’s a milkshake. Not even an egg! Maybe due to the endless slur campaign run by the predominantly left wing media. When you make ridiculous, inflammatory accusations about people, there are consequences. Stupid people believe it. People on here really showing their true colours lately. I will oppose people like you till my dying breath.

God the moralising over a milkshake is enough to make you sick - every single election campaign an incident like this happens, and every single election campaign the tabloids tell you 'IT COULD HAVE BEEN ACID', and unless I'm forgetting something, it never has been. Farage was egged in 2017 and milkshaked in 2019, and low and behold, it didn't escalate to any violence!

Of course it's "only a milkshake" but politicians generally are under increasing levels of threat so are likely to be more attuned to the potential dangers.

It's quite easy to debunk any idea that Farage is the only politician in this country to face antagonism from the public. What may be more effective is to focus upon the demographic who are throwing things at him. Those who live cowardly lives of failure and insignificance will always find something/someone external to blame for their misery and resort to cowardly methods when lashing out.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Jo Cox and Sir David Amess faced more than antagonism. They faced and paid the ultimate price for the empowerment of cowardice and failure. Politics in this country has for some time focussed upon this abhorrent strategy - 'Are you miserable, full of hate and resentment? Don't worry, it's not your fault, it's someone else's'. Hence the prevalence of 'left-wing', 'social justice warrior' types now. Their counterparts have been provided less of a platform but I do fear their rise and we are seeing this in Europe. Politics has almost long forgotten about any focus upon running this nation or apparently others effectively and more so on rallying those being pushed further toward the bottom of socio-economic scale. 'Tis rhubarb.
