You have a lot of catching up to do
When your children are teenagers, it’s important to have a dog so that someone in the house is happy to see you |

The clic bait claiming Chelsea have agreed terms are therefore complete garbage or Chelsea are tapping him up and should be reported for doing so. Edited by lefty27 (11 Jun 2024 9.32am) Especially as we threatened to report Chelsea for such offence last year!!

The end of '22'-'32 and even more so the end of last season suggested Palace's current team are capable of great things; the players - perhaps even more than the fans - wouldn't be human if they weren't curious to see just how far they are capable of going. That makes me suspect we'll see no further departures (Guehi included) this window - except I guess for Rak-Sakyi going out on loan rather frustratingly since I thought he showed more promise than Ahamada or Franca. Perhaps that's why he's going out on loan and not fighting for a seat on the bench

If Olise does go to Chelsea we need to get one of their young players back either as a buy or on loan. Call it a sweetener. We are desperate for competition for Mitchell as wing-back. Has anyone seen Chelsea’s young Somto Boniface?

He will leave before the season starts, he is very ambitious, Palace is one of his stepping stones. Not so sure, especially to Chelsea. They are in disarray again. We have a far better manager than them and more chance of finishing higher imo.

It's on the BBC Gossip this morning - Olise to Cheslsea and Eze to United or Spurs. Personally, with consideration for my own bias, not one of those would make any sense to me. We would very much appear to be a team on the up. Chelsea and United fit into the bracket of clubs in disarray having fallen from grace and being lightyears behind City/Arsenal/Liverpool or even potentially Newcastle in the next few years. Tottenham face an eternal struggle. I hope they both stay but if they do depart, so be it. I'll be far more upset for losing Eze than Olise. Kamada is reported to have passed the first stage of his medical and that may well be announced soon - [Link] I trust Glasner and I trust the system. Individuals are of less significance now and if they choose not to be a part of it, so be it. COYP

The 8 year deals were for internal amortization of the purchase cost and were not for payment terms. My understanding is that payment terms are normally 50% down with the balance a year later Chelsea are widely rumoured to need to sell a home grown player to avoid FFP sanctions, Gallagher being the favourite to go. So how can they of bought Olise already? Also Olise may have release clause, but Palace can demand full payment up front, no drawn out instalment nonsense.

Chelsea? Thought it was a confirmed deal for Man Utd? Clickbait is ridiculous this year...
The trouble with computers, of course, is that they're very sophisticated idiots |

We have got to face it our players are in high demand which is why the speculation is relentless . Maybe a few years ago Chelsea, Man Utd and Spurs would have been a big draw, but Man City and Liverpool have stolen the limelight and have the whip hand. So unless they and maybe Arsenal make a move I’m not too worried. Our players are young and don’t have to move just yet and I can see them staying at least through the 24 - 25 season. I pay little attention on transfers unless it’s a done deal on Sky or the BBC so until then it’s pop a few beer tops and shoot the breeze….
