I've just read Glasner's most recent interview on the club website.
Discussing Ozoh's physical attributes it seems he sees him more as an option for the back 3 at this stage, preferring those in midfield who can 'provide solutions with one or two touches. '
He also sees qualities in Clyne to play in a back 3 which he says 'may surprise a few people. '
If Cyne continues to do well in the role I cpuld see Glasner wishing to retain him as a squad member next season.
It may be Ward as the odd man out.
This may sound harsh, but we let a other loyal servant in Speroni go when the club wanted to save money having a 3rd keeper on a smaller wage.

That's interesting. To be fair he's lightyears away from the awareness and vision Whaton has. Moving away from a 'sit back and defend team', to a press high and quick passing team, might make it hard for him to break through here

He needs a year out on loan. Hopefully a lower end Championship side picks him up. If it's a League 1 side he really needs to be setting that league alight if he's going to make it here.

You saying that, seems Kofi Balmer is leaving, St Mirren are interested in him . . . [Link]

Balmer isn't a surprise. Same age as Guehi and struggled to get into a team at the arse end of League 1 before being moved to League 2.

Fair play to him for playing professional football given he's taken a tough route through Northern Ireland rather than a big academy, but a Premier League player he is not.

Wharton should serve as a wake up call to the academy and anyone who expects any of the current U21/U23 crop to make the grade. Even at Zach Marsh's current age, Wharton was playing Championship football so he needs to be making some waves somewhere next season.

Ebiowei, Plange, Banks, Phillips, Adaramola, Ola-Adebomi, Kymani-Gordon, Wells-Morrison... not a single one is going to be a PL footballer for us.

We all knew that Guehi, Olise and Eze would be targeted this summer. Best case scenario really is that we only lose Guehi and one of the forwards this window. Will be a huge summer of recruitment if we lose all three at once.

Also really really can't afford Freedman to leave just before such a pivotal few months. Really hope they can keep him on.

Got to love the media using words as ‘fear’ ‘brutal’. Parish has shown won’t be pushed around and whoever we sell we will drive a good deal and be right for the club. I expect Guehi to go, shown we can cope without him.

Don’t see why we have to lose all three surely we don’t need that much transfer income? Olise has a release clause wasn’t aware Eze has? Would seem a v backward step and a big risk to take ahead of a season where we will already have the disruption of the stadium rebuild

You're right, we don't have to. Guehi we probably do - 2 years on his deal and if he won't sign a new one then now is the time to sell.

Olise, as you say, seems like it's out of our hands. You'd hope the club would be getting north of £120m for the two and expect some of that cash to be used to clear debts.

Eze is then the third but, possibly, the one we're most likely to get a silly bid for? I agree with you that we have no need to sell Eze if the other two go and therefore it's silly bids only.

If someone came in and offered something ludicrous like £90m that's always going to be difficult to turn down when you think of a) the replacements you could buy for that, and that b) one Ebere Eze is only ever a bad tackle away from not being in the team for months and he does have a shaky injury record in recent years.

£90m last summer would have got you Matheus Cunha, Harvey Barnes and Justin Kluivert. That starts to provide the sort of quality depth that moves the club to the next level.

Can't say I know a bloody thing about Jacob Greaves, but the fact he's 23, made 42 appearances for Hull this season and was named in the Championship team of the year all bodes well.

We've done exceptionally well at plucky quality young players from the Championship in recent years and this looks like it could be another if it materialises.

If it's anything to go by, Transfermarkt has his value at £14m. £55m reported for Guehi would leave us £39m up to spend elsewhere on the squad. Looks a good replacement and we've shown we can cope well without Guehi.
