Unanimous (Parish, Harris, Textor) agreement on player
Unanimous agreement on price we're willing to pay
Unanimous agreement on financing

And with majority owner Textor eager (to say the least) for greater control, we are left with a decision making stasis.

Sorry Roy's record says otherwise, he selections are limited by the quality available. I largely agree with your opening sentence, but after that not so much. You do not know anything about Parish's spending - unless of course you have inside info ? I suspect you are confusing your assumptions with fact. Now consider these because they are facts ; Parish re-appointed Hodgson. He also endorsed the £17m spend on Franca. In other words half of the transfer budget gone on an unproven teenager to work under a manager that prefers working with experienced players. Convince me that there is anyone responsible for that situation other than Steve Parish. In my view Roy does have a negative mindset with regard to team setup regardless of which team we are playing. I recall a couple of years ago attending a game and noticing that James McCarthy had hardly touched the ball all game. After the game Roy was eulogising about McCarthy's performance, in particular how he had managed to 'keep the right distance' from opposition players. Now stopping the opposition playing has always been part of the game but not to the exclusion of all other facets. Some will say that he's negative because of the players available, but clubs with inferior players to us still manage to carry a threat. When our players are in possession how many options do they have in terms of passes? This is partly why they go backwards and sidewards. If the team weren't coached to be so static and obsessed with shape, there would be more player movement and rotation to create angles for more passing options.
