Alot of articles around about how the big clubs are looking to in ahead of their rivals for Olise in January.

If we had a bid of 50m - 60m, should we take it Jan and use elsewhere in the team ?

I am thinking we probably should (as long as he doesn't goto Utd or Liverpool) , aand as long as the money is spent wisely, and there is the issue. After the summer, what would DF and SP do with the money ?

I think we can forget Ronnie Edwards - both West Ham and Villa are in for him.

We should be looking at someone like Jonathan Rowe from Norwich as a replacement, as well as a right back, midfielder and centre forward (maybe a loan or two here).

I Think we should sell him, wherever he goes to get a decent replacement on loan, for the rest of the season, at the team he goes too as part of the deal and another winger on loan from somewhere else with option to buy. Whittaker from Plymouth would be my choice.

Take the 60m, before he becomes another Ferguson, and re invest in Jack Clarke, and Morgan Whittaker

I've been saying it now for the last 2 windows, i cant understand why we haven't gone in for Clarke , at 10 mill a snip . A young Zaha in his prime . Maybe we have too many wingers ... Oh wait now . Have a look at him today against Sandcastle , it will prob put another 10 mill on his price tag .

Actually we didn't. After Roy's return, Wilf really started to suffer. In Galatasaray's opinion, he was abused by us.

Actually we did.

We had a decade of him playing 90 mins every game. Good job he didnt sign that 250k contract

Surely, if a player has a 60m release clause, that is a bare minimum; it doesn't mean that he has to be sold at that price.

So, if Man City, say, were to come in with a bid of 60m, Liverpool, perhaps might offer 70m, then Man Utd 80m.

Then, I'm supposing, the highest offer would win out, if Michael accepted terms.

Am I wrong?

Yes, once the release clause has been reached, and Olise wants to go, Palace has no part to play, it is strictly between Olise and the new club he chooses

Agreed. We would have three or four clubs all bidding £60m and Olise could speak to them all before taking his pick.

Like I said in an earlier post, clever boy.

Olise and Eze were speculative, i am certain both would be good buys, however good Olise is, if he keeps getting injured he is no use

Yes, Olise and Eze were speculative.. Signing any young player who hasn't proven themselves in the top flight is a gamble.

Point is, the gamble on those two paid off. Why would we choose to gamble again by selling Olise and seeing if we get the same luck with Clarke or Whittaker? We are already ahead, why speculate?

Again, I'd be happy to sign either but not happy to see either as a strategy for replacing Olise. Certainly, to proactively sell Olise to buy Clarke or Whittaker seems a very bad idea to me.

In terms of injury, happens to most players (Eze included). Doesn't mean they are a busted flush.

We need to keep our best players for the rest of this season.

To sell in this window and then speculate on Championship players to fill the gap/s isn't sensible in my opinion.

Couldn't agree more NEILLO.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Agree, however I'd be very happy to see us go in for Clarke and not sell.

Seems I'm not the only one looking at that situation and thinking 'Surely?'.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
