Personally I really enjoyed the game bar the result, certainly more than many of our performances of late (including the win last week). Ward switched off for the first goal, Lerma for the second and Hughes for the third, but in terms of our overall play the team looked like they knew how to pass a football again. Eze seemed to instil that confidence in the team that they could play football and if he had a top striker in front of him we win that game. I feel harsh saying that as I thought Eduoard worked really hard (by his standards) but he is waaaaay too slow to make decisions. Two weeks to get Eze and Olise more fitness and match ready before what will be a tough game against a resilient looking Luton.

Another home game against another ordinary team where the goals and points were gifted and one again showing that under the current ownership, we will not be any better than a middle/lower third premiership team.
Sadly our two classy centre halves cannot compensate for a captain who is past it at this level and a left back who needs to work on his defensive game and positional sense.
Another game where the need for a proper centre forward was glaring.
Roy is clearly a very decent man, but why expose yourself to a barrage of criticism, working for a bloke like Parish who is not prepared to properly improve the starting eleven over his beloved academy ?
In January, Mr Freedman will probably go and get us another goalkeeper.

He can't trap a ball, can't manage 2 yard passes, doesn't win headers, can't stay onside and doesn't bother running.

His one saving grace is that he has a few goals this season.
But it's catch 22. Does Roy pick this lazy striker or his replacement, Headless Chicken?

Completely agree, surely we can play without either of those two in a starting 11 even if it’s Ayew at centre forward? Even with Edouard today there was to many mistakes by individuals which cost us 3 goals. Edouard playing or not wasn’t the biggest problem in my opinion but it would have helped with a CF who can hold onto a ball as well as pass it and have some pace :-(

We gave away easy goals and didn't make the right choices in the final third. Our build up play, passing and moving were good. We'll win more often than not attacking like that but we'll lose, more often than not, defending like that. Roy won't be happy but there are positives. Olise and Eze look a class above the rest of the players. With them two, we're going to score more but Olise is going to have to do more dirty work with Ward behind him. We're a wing back or so away from a half decent side with everyone fit.

So last week we didn’t play well and the team were subject to criticism on here, but we won. Today we played very well at times, and much better attacking football, yet we lost. Although it’s nice to see the team on the front it is a results game. Next time we grind out a win think before you complain.

Our two central defenders lacked the cover they've come to expect from our Decoure.

Our two wide full backs get shown up every game now. I noticed 2nd half Andersen and Guehi were reluctant to play Mitchell or Ward the ball as it goes nowhere (usually straight back to them).

We lack a quality striker/finisher likee a lot of teams. Our two just dont cut it.

Edouard is so inconsistent even within one game.

On a high note, Eze was looking superb and great to see Olise putting himself about.

So it's the usual from us. We need two wide backs and a striker. Do that, bed them in, and we will be flying.

We certainly played some lovely stuff first half.

I was so looking forward to the game today. I left not really disappointed because we had looked good. We should have taken that one.

Now we have got some time for our return players to build strength.

But we do desperately need an additional left and right back asap.

As has been said many times before: We are suffering for not buying a striker in the transfer window.

There have been many instances of a relative cheap buy from the Championship paying off

Instead it seems we gambled on one or two fairly expensive strikers from Europe that didn't materialise.

Like Mr Hodgson's tactics - no Plan B !

He has resources at his disposal - but continues to play his favourites - irrespective of how badly they perform..!!

Ward is just a liability, Hughes too lightweight for the Prem - Schlupp - not even sure what he does - the list goes on..!!

Look Olise was clearly fit - so why not start him, why Richards is not given a go at right back is beyond me when Ward is so poor. When is he ever going to give Franca a go - where was Ozoh today - not even on the bench..!!

So no I don’t feel sorry for Roy - just fed up with him playing his favourites and it’s costing us..!!

As I said raging..!!

Roy is bl**dy brilliant ,he saves us from relegation season after season, who do you want Pardew,Vieira (who downed tools) or that Dutch *******.

Ward culpable for 2 goals. How many mistakes does he have to make before he is dropped. We have 2 capable captains in waiting with Guehi & Anderson. Drop him to bench & do not play him again, Richards can play right back.
