Confirmed 2 point deduction with immediate effect. They are going to appeal. A decision apropos the appeal must be heard by May 24, which is five days after the end of the PL season.

Partly right Willo, the appeal must be heard by 24th May, the decision, barring any hiccups, should be known by 1st June & only when the League have their AGM middle to end of June will the final league table be ratified, chaos!

This isn't over, apparently, so I've been reading, it was meant to be 5 points deducted. There is a disagreement between the FA & Everton because of the new stadium at Bramley Dock, so it seems there 'could' be another 3 points deduction coming their way. The FA say it counts towards costs & Everton say it doesn’t, that's the stripped down version. Edited by eagleman13 (08 Apr 2024 4.34pm)

Are these points deductions giving the likes of Luton hope and determination? Otherwise they could have given up months ago. And did the points deduction give us a false sense of security?

I recently saw that FIFA deducted three more points from Everton. I still believe that this is not fair. Some teams, like Manchester City in the Premier League, commit harsher violations and are not punished for this. Moreover, I recently chatted with the [Link] sport community, and we also concluded that Everton can not overcome this problem because of its thinner wallet. Man City, for instance, had money to get good lawyers that saved them. Everton did not have this opportunity. I am sorry for all the Everton fans. Edited by george89 (11 Apr 2024 11.32pm)

I think it says must be concluded by 24th May- dosent say anything about it not being possible to conclude it before then - I would have thought they would be doing everything possible to get these outstanding matters sorted before the last game so that whatever conclusion is reached it isn't reached in the knowledge that the outcome will or wont send any given club down.
