The article has no substance other than showing that Guaita is petulant.

If he wanted to play and applied himself like a professional he would have been on the bench ahead of Matthews.

He’s been a decent keeper for us but this just confirms his attitude stinks. If he had the right attitude, he’d knuckle down and fight for his place, not spout childish remarks on social media.

Thanks for your efforts but you’ve let yourself and the club down. Time to get rid.

So the club has said they won't play him because he refused to play in the pre-season (I can only accept that truth til I hear otherwise) and now... they haven't played him. What is his point? Would also love to hear what he has to say about the game now too. What would he have done differently in goal that would've improved on the clean sheet?

Roy was clearly angry about him when asked.

Roy is not normally the type of manager that criticises his players in public so I can only assume that something has gone on with Guaita that he didn't like.

I tend to agree.

It's a shame because the old boy hasn't been a bad keeper for us, but I sincerely hope he now finds a pre-retirement job back home in Spain. He's finished at Palace as far as I'm concerned.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I hope Guaita takes time to reflect on his actions, because he sure ain’t thinking straight at the moment. A footballer going on strike, it gets more ridiculous the more you think about it.

No longer part of the squad according to the website. Must have taken a late Ryanair flight from Gatwick last night.

He's signed for Celta Vigo - they've announced it.

Amusing that Palace don't fancy giving it the air time at the minute.

Nor should we, mods, please move to football talk, we have four other keepers to worry about.

I heard a rumour we cancelled his contract, can anyone confirm this?

It's a shame as I liked him as a keeper but at least we have shifted his wages off the books.

Is a shame. I thought he did well for us when we needed a decent keeper too and seemed a quiet, reserved character.

Therefore all seems very strange for him to leave in such circumstances without even a farewell apparently.

I won’t lose any sleep over it, but the whole affair seems bizarre. If the worst of rumours were to be true I’d be inclined to say ‘good riddance’.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Spanish temperament you see Nick. We couldn’t have him going around kissing everyone so got shot.
