We're in the same position as several clubs who can't hope to compete with the big money clubs. Those at our level are essentially scouts for them. We find and develop players then they take them away if they show they're good enough and £50m to them is like £15m to us. We do the work and take the risk so those with the money don't have to.

I don't deny anyone the want for more Teddy, nor the playing of 'fantasy chairman'. But to do it to such extremes and completely ignoring or not acknowledging the fact that the reality will be completely different to you, as Joe Schmoe, would like to imagine is juvenile at best. I also think to assume any of us mere mortals are completely informed about the entire picture, including personalities and dynamics at board level, is equally naive.

It's fair enough to say 'I'd like to see x, y and z' or having a gripe at this or that but constantly conjuring up imagined scenarios, predicting the future (badly) and levelling criticism based upon little to no insight, consistently, is a bit ridiculous.

 

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Brilliant finish 11th isn’t it should have an open top parade and let the fireworks and flairs go off. It’s great really great finish. Where did quiet a few clubs that have been up less time than us finish? You really have a lot of ambition and high standards in life don’t u?

Oh dear, I see this thread is still running and here I am adding to it. I wrote early on that I found the topic distasteful and I still do.

Just go away all you Parish haters and leave us middle of the league, good football loving, historically aware, Parish grateful, dyed in the wool Palace fans alone to wallow in our little pleasures.

Please just go away and stop being so disrespectful to our club and it's very dedicated chairman.

 

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

If we are ever to be a Champions League winning, billion pound spending, 100,000 seater stadium club, with a World Cup winning England squad supported by our academy, even Elon Musk has hypothesised that the movement of necessary cogs to achieve this must begin via child-like, bonkers, bizarre and ignorant b!tching on this forum.

You take your realistic appraisal and expectations, along with your positivity, enthusiasm and gratitude for our club, and find a nice quiet corner in the Glazier's Lounge to sit in (let me know if you do as I'll be joining you ).

Every team in the premiership has the number 1 priority of staying in the league. If clubs don’t progress each year they are at a high risk of failing to achieve this. Every year we stay is progress from my perspective. And you seem to ignore the number of young players developing out at loan and the completion of the academy which didn’t exist not that long ago. The stadium development will happen also &#129335;&#127995;&#8205;&#9794;&#65039;

I believe they were the fashion in 1970s (even I used to wear them!)

And you have a very poor grasp of the English language.
