Seems to be a lefty thing to slag off family on public forums.

I'll be celebrating immigration when I injure myself fruit-picking in my 80's (pension short-fall) and i have to wait less than 4 hours at A&E to see a Doctor who's recently arrived from Nigeria.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

If it was limited in the way some seem to want it to be you would be pleading for it to be resumed. You would have to pick fruit for the rest of your life, for without seasonal farm workers there wouldn't be anyone else to do it. Without the Nigerian Doctor, you would be sent home from A & E if your triage says you aren't about to die. There wouldn't just be no beds at the Hospital, half the wards would be closed because of staff shortages. In Simon Jordan's time-honoured phrase "Be careful what you wish for". You might get it!

There's not even a tiny thread of a connection between my point and that link.

Most of Europe is still relatively dark, but England is already one bright light. That is the price you want to pay for your growth? It is self-defeating nonsense. A dependency on migrants just creates a bigger one going forward. Wake up.

Rome from 350 to 470.....lots of immigration, lots of inflation, and the appearance of 'Growth' Immigration destroyed Western Rome. Too many people, not assimilating, over-stress on all the institutions, not learning the language nor contributing enough taxes, Law & Order went down the sh1.tter, the new arrivals were not Loyal to the centralised State.
