It seemed to me the idea of Richards starting at right-back was so that when we had the ball it became a back three with TM playing further forward. Against a better team than Sheffield Utd we could have conceded more, but it did help us to overwhelm them at times and pin them in which helped in us scoring three. Personally I think a lot is asked of Mitchell as often he doesn't get a lot of support and is left exposed. He needs to improve his attacking play if he is going to contribute going forward though.
