We went in at half time 2 up and in my opinion If Eze had been replaced then with a midfield player (Luka, Gallagher or Kouyate) we would have won that game. Love Eze’s silky skills but he doesn’t fight for the ball or chase opponents down. Everton went for it and we fell apart rather than defending in numbers and using the ability to hit them on the break. Instead we tried to play the same as we did in the first half and allowed Everton to much space in midfield - disappointed but realise it’s been a great season for us with a Wembley visit as well :-)

Just on coach starting a long journey back home!! They exploited our weaknesses second half and it’s not difficult. Just put high balls into the box. We’ve struggled all season with that and did again tonight.

If I never see Luka in a Palace shirt again it will be to soon. Just did not get bringing him on because he can’t do anything right. Really disappointed to throw that away against a really poor Everton side… And Benteke… Please just leave.

Just annoyed really. At least I’ve got the 6 hours journey back to look forward to!!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Safe trip home and solidarity for making the long trip despite the result!

I still remember Swansea away under Pards. Almost went for a swim in the bay after that collapse!!

Patrick put your hand up for this loss two woeful subs made - Conor regardless of leaving you pay his wages he always puts in 80% more than your chosen two.

Milo / Benteke needs to move on I strongly struggle watching them come on it makes me cringe sorry due by date long gone.

Hughes is turning into a 50% gamer he needs to find his game of find he’s getting a numb bum on the bench more often

I’m at a loss to know how we lost this game - Pat over to you

Everyone bottled that in the second half...but it's easy to blame Luka isn't it? Some of you lot make me laugh.

Anyway, disappointing. Season may well fizzle out, but let's not lose sight of the bigger picture. It's been a great season.

Jeez how did we lose that ?
So comfortable in the first half thought we were going to cruise to victory. Didnt like Luka sub for Hughes hes just so negative always wants to pass backwards backs off players and gives them space. Either that or gives away fouls in dangerous areas. Gallagher didnt really get going but hopefully that might improve our chances of keeping him or extending the loan.
On the plus side thought Eze was brilliant tonight. Looking forward to seeing him really shine next season.

I tell you what.....I'm more disappointed by the performance of some of the so-called supporters in here than Palace's 2nd half performance! It's been an unbelievably good season all things being considered and all you can do is criticise the moment things don't go quite to plan. Everton were fighting for their lives while we had, in real terms, nothing to fight for. Despite that we were 2 up at half time in a hostile ground and in front until 75 mins. So what we lost in the end. We secured Premier League status with several games to go, reached the FA cup semi and have started to play really attractive football. Brilliant I say. Talk about glass half full, some people aren't happy even if its 3/4 full!

You are one of them.

How has it been unbelievably good season?

You may want to refresh memory and take a look back over all our seasons in the Prem (I have helped you out a bit)

Staying in the league you class as the goal really

Season - POS - Manager - Spend
21/22 - 13 - Patrick Vieira [Cup Semi] - £77.05m
20/21 - 14 - Roy Hodgson - £20.16m
19/20 - 14 - Roy Hodgson - £6.84m
18/19 - 12 - Roy Hodgson - £10.67m
17/18 - 11 - Roy Hodgson - £44.06m
16/17 - 14 - Sam Allardyce - £91.08m
15/16 - 15 - Alan Pardew [Cup Final] - £25.92m
14/15 - 10 - Alan Pardew - £28.10m
13/14 - 11 - Tony Pulis - £29.70m

Next you claim nothing to fight for here are two prize money and you want to beat rivals Brighton who are above us.

Disgraceful second half.

Manager again showed at times he is clueless and the players didn't even need to really do much knock the ball around be boring keep doign what other teams do waste time fall to ground.

Wilf again showed he is not a top player and its about time he stopped getting special treatment from the club when not performing.

Pissed off with awful second half. Players basically s*** themselves.
Also annoyed how the police and stewards did nothing when they invaded the pitch. Eze had a flare waved in his face and at the end these dickheads were putting their phones into our players faces.i didn't see one person arrested.
2-0 half time extasy to 3-2 bollocks.

I've often thought and said that my team, compared to some others, has balls! Here, they appear to have been castrated at half time.

Decided not to get out of bed (4.45am start), but woke at 5.40, saw the score and a few excited texts from my son, so got up to bask in the glory.......

Saw many times in previous years where we looked terrific in the 1st half but something happens at half time and the game changes. What happens? When they got the 1st so early, got a bad feeling.

We sit back, and bringing on Luka just entrenches that, thought we needed Gallagher's work rate at that point.

Love Eze, but he lacks a hard edge and doesn't defend well.

Some lazy off sides from Wilf and stray passes when we went forward.

Be mightily peed off if it was a critical game for us, but I'm going back to bed.

It’s long been apparent ‘virtue signaling’ is now in football too.

Very, very disappointing if not infuriating, anyone who wants some attention by praising a team for losing after a two-goal half time lead is at best being disingenuous at best in my eyes.

I suspect by Sunday many will be a lot calmer until such time we lose to United in an unglamorous way but the freedom to have a gripe in such situations is not only necessary for but a hallmark of a true fan.

That is unless there’s been an announcement of a cash reward for most virtuous or deluded palace fan in which case I change my statement to ‘great! We were 2-0 up at HT to a terrible team and manager but despite throwing that away embarrassingly, their fans storming the pitch, confronting our manager and so forth I’m delighted… wooohoooo!!!!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Embarrassing in second half, but once they got one you just knew we would fold. Any defence that allows Keane to score needs take a long hard look at itself.

Brighton home, Arsenal away, Leeds away - we need to be mentally tougher.
