My question was did the HF / Singing Section notify the club of the details of what the display paid for by the fans was going to be. I know that it was all over the media that they were going to do a display but did they notify the club of the details of what the display was going to be ?

Very unlikely. They don’t like to give away a veto.

Well, it was all over social media which is how it was funded. The club couldn’t have missed it

The bigger question is what relationship does the club have with Block E and how can it be improved. I’ll see what I can find out. Something needs addressing here.

The even bigger question is why should the club have any better relationship with block E than it does with the other 90% of the fans.

Most of the HF weren't even a twinkle in their dad's eye when most of us were following Palace during the shyte years.

Their sense of entitlement is a joke.

So you think the club has a good relationship with its fans outside of the singing section?

Ever been invited to participate in any way with the activities of the club?

We are of course all overwhelmed with those how did we do today texts and emails.

The rigorous commitment to driving up the Net Promoter Score is so impressive

I didn't say that anyone has a good relationship with the club, but you appear to think that the club should listen to block E, although as you say they don't listen to anyone else. Why should block E be any different ?

They won't listen to anyone unless it's done through that Socios cobblers, as this was listed as being one of the incentives of investing.

Where did I say they should listen to block E more than to other fans. Any group of 2000 fans putting in their own funds and time to create a display should be engaged with.

You said above that the relationship with block E needs improving, and that you were going to see what you could do to get it addressed. What about the fanbase as a whole ?

Perhaps they should listen to the 24,000 (based on average gates) that didn't contribute, and probably don't give a toss about flags and banners.

Yes

As above

It is unfathomable there is no forum for a mutual exchange of views. Other direct to customer organisations would have that in place as a priority.

I didn’t imply I could get the relationship issue addressed, only that I will ask about the history

Not gonna read the whole thread. Without doubt the HF do a lot in terms of creating an atmosphere/enhancing match day experience which most clubs envy. This makes us unique and stand out from the rest - otherwise we’d just be another Leicester/Southampton etc.

About time those who sit in silence for 90 mins (the majority) realise this and appreciate we have something special. The ‘spotty teenager’ thing is boring, they’ve been going sine 2005. The club should have discussed it with them as it was obvious they were planning to put on a show… because they always do.

I’m summary, they go over and above consistently so deserve preferential treatment when it comes to ticketing etc.

I enjoy the atmosphere and chants they bring. it's great. I do feel at times they have certain people who get ahead of themselves... I feel dialogue with the club would have averted this... and even if the club does hang it's own stuff... it's no drama for the hf to dangle something for the cameras then take it down as the game starts.

This was once a quality forum....

Not allowed to (in the upper tier).

My understanding is that the Club has blocked that unless it is Stewards that hold the banner. So effectively it can only be a club produced banner in the top tier which forces a late change on the fans’ banners set up.

Given some of the controversial/confrontational slogans that have appeared at SP over the years from the HF, maybe the club and/or Wembley Stadium have decreed 'no banners' on the upper tier to prevent anything 'unsuitable'(for them) appearing on TV across the world..... just a thought!

Your sense of entitlement is astounding. Its a multi million pound business we are talking about. I have never heard of any other business of a similar size, that has a forum for mutual exchange of views. I do remember Jordan having a few fans evenings, but not a lot came of that, just moaning.
The FA and Wembley stadium will have their own rules on displays and Palace are just adhering to them.
Amazing how some fans get so upset about a few flags, more in life to worry about.
