Edited by Stirlingsays (29 Mar 2022 10.01pm) Ha, fair enough I haven't actually read the thread. I have a feeling akin to walking in on a couple arguing, you know, when you venture into somebody's utility room at a party to get a drink or something, and you expect perhaps a conversation but pause briefly before contemplating how badly you wanted whatever you were looking for in the first place and then plot your retreat. Or just make a stupid joke...not that I do that...ever
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

You didn't tell me to do research, nor did I suggest you did. I said I wasn't going to do yours! But yes, sometimes your replies are very reminiscent of the behaviour I used to see from the 3 to 4-year-olds in my Nursery. Originally posted by Stirlingsays
So the Yemeni war, which you completely ignored and are prepared to take no action over is one thing....and the Ukrainian war, which you are prepared to put hundreds of millions at risk over but in increased death and lower living standards. That's war is so much important because.....borders....apparently the guy happy for immigration now cares about borders. Well Putin has never made a threat to invade a Nato country....he doesn't have the conventional military to take over Europe....it's so childish. You're so obvious it's a joke. Edited by Stirlingsays (29 Mar 2022 9.19pm) You definitely need to go to Specsavers. I haven't "ignored" the Yemeni war at all. I have tried to add context. Why you think I am "prepared to put hundreds of millions at risk over but in increased death and lower living standards" is beyond me. I haven't invaded Ukraine. Nothing I could have done, or the west as a whole could have done, would have stopped it other than be tougher earlier. What has happened now is 100% Putin. This is a time for resolute resistance by us all, and not for any attempts at political point scoring. Putin has often made veiled threats against former USSR states, and makes no secret of his wish to restore Russia to its former "glory". This war may well have taught him that he isn't as strong conventionally as he expected, but that knowledge carries its own dangers with it. The kind of complacency I sense from you is beyond stupid. It's dangerous. Originally posted by Stirlingsays
It wasn't an irrelevance to Biden....it was a nice way to corruptly get money into his family. It's a strawman to talk about justifying Putin's invasion. Edited by Stirlingsays (29 Mar 2022 9.19pm) Any petty sniping at Biden is an irrelevance. As I have said many times if Hunter Biden has committed crimes then let them be discovered and due process deal with them. If he needs help, then get him help. You are a father. If your child needs help, you try to help him. Kicking the father is not a very attractive thing to witness. That the scurrilous right in the USA do so without any hint of regret is a sign of how desperate they are, and how low politically they have fallen. To hear it parroted here is quite sad.

There are far more interesting things to do than continually go round the houses with the Hol's Biden think-alike.

Edited by Stirlingsays (29 Mar 2022 10.01pm) Thanks for the laugh. Writing "inane crap" is the only area where I completely accept defeat to you. You are a grand master at it. I am not fit to be in the same room as you for "inane crap". Which I hope never to be. I don't "love" Biden. I have no special regard for him at all. The ONLY things I have said is he is a relief after Trump and represents a return to normality. He is allowing the USA to do what it does best, but that doesn't mean I "love" him. I love my wife and my children. I have some strong feelings for my friends, who I cherish and admire. I don't love any politicians. Some I admire and support. Others I loath. Much like some crappy posters on the internet.

Well, that begs the question why you continually do it - pretty much all day everyday it seems. My take on it is that you have this almost messianic view that you are right - perhaps even the name you use suggests that? It's not just on Biden but the whole range of other political stuff that you seem to want to use this site for to put across your particular perspective with all its often unpleasant overtones. Its good that another poster has the time/energy to call it out for what it is and be prepared to "chill" with your often abusive responses. If you are as frustrated as you claim, you have the answer in your own hands and I seem to recall you mentioning that on more than one occasion; maybe that might be a relief to many other's who use this site primarily for football related reasons.

I probably will be posting less often at some point.....but that won't be because of posts like yours but rather the greater demands of life. You know your post is irritating because if you don't like my political views or wish to avoid them you have literally most of the Internet dedicated to leftist or centrist thought for you to enjoy. Yet here you are, moaning that I exist and give voice to views you don't like. May I suggest that it's actually you who have the answer in your own hands. I keep political views in the political forum, I'm not hard to avoid.

Did you have cue cards there to help you type it up.

Well, Nicholas....It can't said that I haven't tried to get a divorce from him but the bugger is obsessed....he's a comment stalker. You can describe it as an obsession if you wish. I prefer to describe it as a passion. It's neither with you, nor any other individual who posts here. Don't flatter yourself. You are merely the vehicle. My passion is to call out untruths, misconceptions and misleading statements, along with policies which spring from the minds of the ridiculous right in the USA. As that is the source of a large part of the tosh you serve up, that's the reason your posts get attention. On the rare occasions that you have managed an original, and reasonable, thought, I have been known to agree with you. The answer is, always has been and always will be, in your own hands. Don't parrot the ridiculous right stuff and then there won't be a reason to respond. So long as you do, expect it. When someone seeks a divorce, it's normal for them to move out. If you want it that badly, there's your answer.

The ex marketing and advertising manager of over thirty years who thinks he's all about calling out, 'untruths, misconceptions and misleading statements'. Honestly this guy writes his own jokes without realising it.

Honestly this guy writes his own jokes without realising it. I was never involved in advertising. I was involved primarily in sales management, moving on to general management and then to MD. Anyone who believes that there is an inconsistency between believing in the truth, avoiding misconceptions and misleading statements and the role of sales and marketing has no genuine understanding of the profession. It's just the cynical view of the ignorant. Common enough, but still ignorant. Ensuring people know the benefits of your product and how it could fit into your life is the primary role of the marketeer. You want satisfied customers, who tell others and return themselves. Del Boy, or Trump, aren't sales people. They are con merchants.
