All the top managers are the same, they don't like not winning, that's why they are at the top. He didn't storm off down the tunnel at the final whistle, I saw him with his arm around Guita on the pitch.
He mentioned the pitch, but didn't use it as an excuse, it's the same for both teams.

My original post was light hearted at best cheer up FFS we just got a very, very good and well earned point against City.

Furthermore why did he mention the pitch when he wasn’t directly asked about it?
You know, if he’s not using it as an excuse?

His interviews are usually annoyingly arrogant, as though he’s disgusted by being questioned by a mere mortal. Reminds of myself as a teenager being questioned by the headmaster on something that I was blatantly guilty of and therefore in trouble for. He’s a grown man however and not 13.

If I were a city fan, or even just a football fan as I am, I’d be quite interested to hear his analysis of the game what went wrong etc. Watching Peps interviews they stink of disrespect and I genuinely feel awkward and sorry for the interviewer who of course is just doing his job. I’m still baffled by your compulsion to jump on my again, light hearted, perhaps tongue in cheek remarks and defend your surprising hero here caveated with your bizarre ‘winners’ lecture.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

At the end of the game, a little girl Palace fan all in red and blue, can’t have been more than six, ran on the pitch, ran up to de Bruyne and asked him for his autograph. Guess what he did? Took off his shirt and gave it to her. Now that is real class. Top man de Bruyne. What a gesture.

When you consider that, even after bringing on a couple of subs, our 13 players cost less than Grealish (£95m v £105m). Never mind the other £485m paid for the other 10 that played for City.
What a performance. Mitchell was outstanding, Kouyaté & Vicente equally so. Connor was everywhere, Anderson & Guehi best centre-back pairing I can remember.

Bring on Everton...

As of this evening we have...

10th best defence in the league
10th highest goals
10th best goal difference

Obviously, that means we are... 11th.

I was genuinely worried last summer, and yet we're doing alright. Top half would be amazing. It's admittedly a low bar, but this might just be the best Palace side I've ever seen.

We were monumental tonight. Ran ourselves into the ground. Literally. Every single Palace player was mighty. Fantastic performance by all of our players. Well done all of you.
Im hoarse now. Stadium was aloud for 95 minutes. Every single fan was singing. Im tired out!! Christ knows how our players must feel. They must be sooo knackered.
We got Super Pat Vieira.

They were knocking the ball about throughout the first half and trying to walk the ball into the net whereas in the second they were a little more hurried and it showed. We had 13 heroes out there tonight although some stuck out more than others. The ref was very fair in the first half but the second half it was a different ref.
They had the better players and we had the better team, I have not been more proud of them before (even at Villa park).

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

A great Palace performance.

If Gallagher had looped that into the top corner, the roof would have blown off and it would’ve been goal of the season.

Absolutely agree although I don’t think it’s a low bar at all a top place finish and at least QF of cup. Far exceeded my gloomy vision at beginning of the season and would be indicative of a promising future and not just another season keeping our head above water!

Good post Qwijibo!

I don’t know about any history between you and the other poster but on Guardiola alone, I actually like how he is compared to other top managers (Klopp in particular).

I thought he gave us credit and basically said his team played well but wasn’t to be. He could easily have said about us time wasting etc but doesn’t go down that route which is refreshing.

We could have easily conceded 3 goals, but at the end, we deserved the point. Great performance by our players.

Lot of good it did us. Relegated both times
