I urge all HOLers to take a minute to read the match report on BBC Sport. You won't be disappointed.

I was at the game and for once the writer of the BBC report obviously watched the same game as well. The first half was the best I've seen us play this season (wasn't at the Etihad). We could easily have been at least 4 up.

What I liked about the BBC report was the recognition of how well we defended in the 2nd half.

As for Mateta - probably his best game for us - was a real nuisance in the first half.

I questioned Schlupp's inclusion but have to eat humble pie. He was excellent today.

And Wilf? I've been a critic at times this season but he played for the team today and especially in that 2nd half when he was tireless in his defensive duties.

We sang loud and well. They knew we were there, even if we couldn't hear them.

Gareth was in the stands, today.

Watching Kilman and Coady, apparently. Glad to say he will have gone away disappointed

An excellent and entertaining team performance. Loved Wilf's thumb down gesture to the Wolves fans after his penalty goal.

Just a word for our Spanish keeper. Guaita adds a lot to our defence. Really sound player. Top drawer.

Gotcha. The reporter must have watched the same game as me for once.

The Palace roller-coaster at its best. From absolute crap against Stoke to some of the best football in our PL history the first 45 minutes vs Wolves.
So what can we expect when the leaders come to Selhurst in a week's time?

Interestingly VG has now played more times for Palace than for any of his previous clubs - 119 times. We are the third club for whom he has notched up 110+ appearances.

I've been surprised by some of the Manager's selections recently but he got it spot on against Wolves, if I might say so. It shows what can be achieved when we look beyond the sort of football we play when Ward, McArthur, Ayew start.

Guehi was outstanding, shouting and organising the team at set plays, He should be permanent Captain now.

I've just finished watching the game on Sky. Has to be the best football Palace have played (first half certainly).

Mateta was so much livelier than Benteke ever is. He deserved a goal. Good for him.

Zaha was better than he has been all season. In all aspects of the game. I've criticised his behaviour and attitude recently, but, if he's finally got all the bad things under control and continues to play with the energy he showed today, then I'm happy to eat humble pie.

Schlupp was on terrific form.

Gallagher, well it's all been said really. I just hope he scores the winner in the Cup Final to round off his time with us.

Olise played with his usual flair. The Sky commentators were in raptures about his silky feet and the way he often looks like he's not sure what he wants to do then let's fire with a perfect, long pass. I've almost reached the point when I don't mind if Eze plays or not.

In fact, it's almost unfair to pick out individuals in, what PV admitted, was a perfect team performance. No way we should be looking down now. Those threads about the fear of relegation are redundant.

One amusing fact (to me at least) was that the score in the top left of Sky's recording was 0-1 right from the start and went to 0-0 when Mateta scored. It did eventually show 0-2 after the penalty!

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.
