What matters is that you chose to cast doubt on a factual event. Hypocrites gotta hypocrite. Edited by Stirlingsays (30 Nov 2021 8.41pm)

Only on the source chosen. I use NO leftist mouthpieces! I use regular, objective regular media sources which are properly edited and checked by lawyers.

What matters is whether the point made is true or not The source wasn't the point at all, the case was and what happened in it. The fact of the court case was that it was a self defence case for a black guy who shot attackers and who was released the same day as Rittenhouse...the point was made in opposition to Steely's claim about 'white supremacy in the courts'. As ever, you make typical waste of time points just trying to deflect whenever a point you don't like is made. As for objective sites. Rubbish, you use leftist sites, and as for lawyers....? Most sites concerning commentary on news, whether they are left and right use lawyers...what an utterly redundant point. Besides in the American system claims can just be opinion anyway......again, another typical deflection point.

Most sites concerning commentary on news, whether they are left and right use lawyers...what an utterly redundant point. Besides in the American system claims can just be opinion anyway......again, another typical deflection point. To repeat, the point had nothing to do with the article itself. It was just a general observation which I thought germane to the posts from a frequent contributor, which gave an insight into their likely veracity. That you disagree so angrily rather supports the point being made. The article itself was accurate, but spun the facts to pour scorn on others. Rittenhouse was found not guilty by reason of the way the law is applied in that jurisdiction. The other case was actually very different. He would have succeeded with a self-defence plea everywhere. The point being made was not whether "black" men don't ever succeed with a self defence plea. It was whether Rittenhouse would have done if HE was "black", in his circumstances. The deflection comes from those seeking to conflate two quite different things. That some see the regular media as "leftish" says so much more about them than it does about me. As I have said many times, only those on the extremes of politics view those in the middle as either left or right. Places like Infowars don't use lawyers. No lawyer would ever allow blatant lies to be published. I very much doubt others do either, because they know, as is admitted, they can get away with it.

BBC presenter upset over diners loud offensive comments (not directed at her). We've all been there having a nice quiet meal and there's a loud mouth idiot at the next table. So what do you do? (normally they tell me to shut up). - Ignore him and focus on your dinner group Well apparently our Tina did none of these all though it seems she certainly had a case. No she opted for this solution: - Say nothing at the time and wait weeks then write a letter of complaint to the restaurant and post it on social media and then share your pain with the world on television. Seriously what does she expect the restaurant to do now? (It's all about me, me it's all about me). Edited by Badger11 (02 Dec 2021 8.22am)

If it contributes to the debate about what is acceptable and what not, then all to the good.

We have all been in situations where we regret not speaking up. No I was pointing out the letter to the restaurant and posting it on social media it's too late for that.

She is a journalist and was probably just using the letter as a vehicle to tell the story in a way that people would bother to read. I don't think it was really intended as a complaint to the restaurant.

Why do you need to? It's for students! They've always been a bit weird and will grow out of it.
