Happy with a point today. If you keep picking points up away from home you will normally have a decent season. We have lost only 2 games so far. to the 2 best teams in the league.

In the end I'm happy with the draw. Strange though that we can keep consecutive clean sheets against Man City and Wolves but flounder in defence against Burnley. Everyone knows that Burnley press high and have excellent crossing and heading abilities, so we obliged by providing them with chance after chance with freekicks and dreadful clearances and to top it off we constantly played out from our goal line of all places against a team that everyone knows gets in your face, we were very very lucky to get a point out of a game we should have comfortably seen off and what worried me more then anything else is we just continued in the second half as if all the dreadful moments in the first half hadn't happened.

Sorry 'Sprites', but Luka should never be any where near the 1st team. Andersen still carrying the knock he got from Wolves, CG run out of steam, Tekkers faded badly, Ayew, Why? Impact sub at best. Still, respect the point, we lost twice to them last season. As an aside, MotD tonight: Manure This was a bonkers 1st half & an 'interesting' 2nd. Btw, well done to our U23's & U18's today.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Well done Christian, another brace today, keep up this great form, you have found your niche under PV, how many is that this season peoples? In the words of Roy Keane.... 'That's his job'.. The guy owes us big time... He's been stealing a living off of us for a few seasons now so it's about time he started repaying us..
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

You have to respect the point although a bit disappointed. Burnley trudged off looking a bit deflated, now in the bottom 3.

In the wider context, we got an away point against a team we don't tend to do to well against in the toughest league in the world, where "no game is easy", despite not being at our best. Worth a pint tonight, at least. Plus the fact that I placed a 'lay' bet on 0-0; ker-chinggg!

Why is it CP that whether you are on the politics or this chat you are always itching for a reaction. Benteke did ok, lucky deflection for first goal but got his shot away quickly, then missed a sitter, 2nd goal was a cool finish. He is a centre forward and should finish chances like those. What do you want people to say, “he was awesome”? Because he wasn’t, he was ok. On the politics i just like to point out when I see major theft by our sitting gov Eagle, just in case the workers were at work and missed it. On the Benteke front, I was rather suprised, reading here, nobody even commented "yes", or" get in", or 1-0, nothing at all, only that he missed a chance that would have made it 2-0! Strange that, don"t you concur?

Only 4 teams have less wins than us, but only Liverpool and Chelsea have fewer defeats. We've been on the end of at least 3 disappointing draws, so it feels like we could be even higher. But then again, only Norwich is hopeless this year. In the past few years, there have been at least 3 really terrible teams that were almost guaranteed to go down. We don't have that luxury this season. And "top" teams like Man U, Tottenham, and Arsenal are giving away points to lower teams. I think we will need at least 40 points, maybe more.
