I’m not a fan of targets but there’s tonnes of studies that prove that people have unconscious bias towards people just like them (and this isn’t just a race thing).

This whole thing is because the ‘best’ applicants weren’t getting the job all the time - we live in a world historically dominated by white men who then hire and over promote other white men, whether consciously or unconsciously. Industries are dominated by people who have been given a leg up one way or another.

All you need to do is take a look at current Prime Minister and government to see that the best people don’t always get the jobs.

So if two candidates are of equal ability who’s more likely to get the job if the interviewers bonus depends on the outcome?
At least Boris isn’t being paid extra when making his appointments.

Why would I want names and addresses? If you have some evidence that it’s a fact, like you claim, then you don’t need to worry about posting anything as if it’s factually correct and evidenced then there can’t be anything to worry about legally.

Just admit you’ve made a statement you can’t back up, climb down, and stop making yourself look a tit.
