Yep, and that link has a useful graph showing how many percent of people in the UK population were born abroad which also is pretty damning. The jump from 1991 and 2010 is simply massive. Makes you wonder where Bert got his points from. Edited by Stirlingsays (08 Oct 2021 6.28pm)

So presumably Stirling has the password and can share so I can question what I'm reading. Otherwise you are just giving me statemetns on a bus. Share the password and I'll happily respond you BREXIT fact unreality shapers; if I'm not queueing for petrol, searching for food or sitting in an interview for one of those great high wage jobs that demand I bring my own wellingtons.

The point is that countries that did not leave the EU are suffering similar shortages , in this case HGV drivers, as the UK. I am glad you haven't been sucked up, and if there is any insult regarding intelligence it's your inability to spell the word correctly. OMG - I got into the site you posted saying "Basically shows Bert the Head is completely wrong, hardly a surprise there." The site you refer to is run by Migration watch. Going to Migration Watch for stats on Migration is like asking in 1939 "Dear Mr Hitler do you think the Jews are beneficial to German Society" You are not going to get an answer that stands up to supporters of truth and decency fellas.
I've written to fact checker to see how the stats stand up and will post when I get an answer. you are very very naughty boys with your pseudo "this is real stuff honest its like science" when its extremely biased bulls***. I hope Boris doesn't ruin the Winterval festival for you boys, sitting by the Chimney thinking Santa is going to come down. He doesn't exist. You might think that is liberal woke tosh, but its the truth. Its hurt me to tell you that because part of me wants to wrap my arms around you fellas and protect you. Also Churcill hated the working class and voted against the NHS many, many times.

A password protected site? What are you talking about? It's a link straight through. Respond to it and it would also be good if your backed up your previous statement about immigration being higher in the fifties.

Well the fuel 'crisis' is almost over. You know that massive problem that 99% of people got through OK. Storm in a teacup. More chaos was caused by those climate protesters.

However, it can be said that the post war immigration was controversial as is the argument that it was required....except for a low wage economy as I find your contention that it was for mostly union jobs point doubtful....in reality it would have been mixed along the lower wage employment areas. Regardless the statistics for net immigration in the UK from 75 can be seen here. Edited by Stirlingsays (07 Oct 2021 2.32pm)

A rather more nuanced and objective interpretation of the statistics can be found here:-

Migration watch's statistics, I imagine come from governmental sources, I've seen those statistics quite a number of times now. Apparently migration watch are something akin to Hitler (how often do we hear that) because they are against mass immigration.....so apparently they shouldn't be trusted. But Bert can post lots of claims and not back them up....despite being asked to. Mmmmm.

I thought Migration Watch had a pretty good reputation I don't remember any mainstream politicians playing the race card with them. I think they stick to facts that they know they can back up rather than the usual "bloody foreigners etc."
