I actually like the US, been quite a few times and worked there for a short while.

I do like the food, especially all the meat related dishes (ie. Ribs, brisket etc). I also like all the outdoors activities, ie hiking the parks.

Though, just like all the countries, I just can't stand their politicans and government, be Republican or Democrat. However, Trump did amuse me in his antics.

I've just got back from a four night stay at Butlins.

The two scoop ice creams were daylight robbery.

Oh how the other half live.

I started this thread expecting to be amused by stories of wonderful American cars or abject gun control.

But, instead, I find myself picking up on the distasteful story that some weird American, who has no interest whatsoever in PL football, let alone CPFC, might want to buy a share of our club. BTW, I know there is a thread dedicated to this topic - I have contributed to it.

Anyway, one of the things I really dislike about America, is an American who misguidedly thinks he can use Crystal Palace FC as a means to feather his own nest without any concern about the consequences.

Mostly I like American stuff, but this story of a potential takeover stinks, and I dislike it immensely.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

£3.50 for two scoops.

I'd have had a moan if I weren't busy tongue licking the hell out of it.

had 2 scoops of excellent ice cream here for €1.80 about £1.50, that was on the seafront, cheaper inland.

Possibly the strongest argument for rejoining the EU I've heard.
