It would be pretty wild to find serious fault with the cop here, though as you say I have no doubt that some will be doing that just. Ultimately though it was a case of either shooting this individual or allowing someone to be stabbed. A horrendous event, maybe a next level 'teen flipout', but I would hope that even in such a polarised nation this won't go anywhere. The bodycam footage is clear and here at least I think that favours the cop.

I would be very surprised if there were any charges bought over this. Apparently, you are already seeing a massive increase in the 'blue flu' in the US and plenty of anecdotal claims about cops taking their time to respond to all kinds of incidents now.

There will be a lot of noise but if they do charge this cop then you will see a huge backlash because it would effectively cripple policing in the US.

Whatever you might think of this Chauvin case, the reality was that he and his colleagues were holding down a man already in handcuffs and clearly representing no obvious threat to anybody. It would always be worthy of investigating, no matter what and obvious questions asked.

But a cop turning up to that incident, with a knife being wielded in a manner that has to be taken as a threat to life, is as far removed as possible.

Well said and a good summing up. It's terrible that a young person's life ended in such a way, but if you strike out with a deadly weapon, the reality is that you may well end up on the receiving end of one yourself. From her crazed behaviour in the moment she essentially gave the officer no choice.

The left, or the clown-car that is now the left, see the police as the enemy that stands in the way of their revolutionary notions. All the BLM and associated nonsense is all to undermine law and order and enhance the chances of their f'ing nonsense.

Yea me too mate. Think it kind of threw the presenter. No one wants the truth to get in the way of a good story.

I bet the researcher who came up with that chap for an interview is in for an interesting time.
