Bring back Dazza - I liked his insider stuff, shame so many gave him stick. He was only passing on info! I have to say I did enjoy reading Dazza’s posts during the last transfer window but he did rather shoot himself in the foot with his assertions that Benrahma and Brewster would definitely be joining us but having watched some of Brewster’s performances I’m kind of glad he was wrong.

Meyer leaving makes sense - hopefully it will be the start of a bit of a clear out with Wickham, Sakho, Dann and CB to follow and one or two new additions coming in.

Our coffers might just stretch to bringing in a young striker with promise but that's likely to set us back at least £20m - look what Sheff U have paid for Brewster and Villa for Watkins! I suspect, though that any money we do decide to spend, whether in this window or in the summer, will be directed at a young Centre Back and a so-called 'box-to-box' midfielder. I expect a good number of the expiring contracts will be renewed.

Looking at last season we are presently one point behind, 11 points of the relegation zone compared to 8 last. If we are doing anything this Jan suspect it will be loan deals like Tosun. The fact that Meyer has now departed saves a hefty chunk of the wages bill. If Sakho could leave in this window, that would be another saving. This where we need Dazza or other ITK person, to indicate whether any cash is available for purchase in this window?

Looking verrrrrr-y quiet on transfer front that is tad concerning as I thought that we were meant to be bringing down the age of our first team and injecting more youth into the side. Surely a gradual process needed as opposed to full throttle in the summer transfer market?

With Meyer leaving and Schlupp ruled out since he said that things might change slightly, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Personally more than anything I think we need a new pacey wide player to compete with Eze and Andros.

He was at A.Villa at the same time as Jordan Ayew, both players being signed by Tim Sherwood. Micah Richards who was fleet of foot challenged Traore to a sprint when they were both at A.Villa and Traore won by 20 yards! Edited by Willo (18 Jan 2021 11.37am)

I wonder if we can send Batshuayi back to Chelsea, what is the point of having him if not playing, last nights match was perfect for Bats but got ten mins, surely there must be someone in the whole of Europe that Roy likes that we can loan, Dougie over to you
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |
