No but many do, if you were genuinely fleeing for your life, you would. Look at the refugee camps in Turkey. Personally I would not leave my wife and kids behind, would you? Because many of these migrants do, so not safe for the men but ok for women and children! Absolute b***ocks. I cannot state enough that the majority coming over the Channel are not Afghans. I will try to get a break down of those arriving at the weekend and let you know. No but genuine Afghan refugees yes.

No but genuine Afghan refugees yes. No, they are surrounded by similarily cultured countries. And the idea that we can perfectly tell who is 'genuine' from who isn't when no one turns up with details because of NGOs is more 'disney land' ideology. This country now has multiple problems due to the 'global village' mentality of the 'progressive left' and the 'economic right'. Both supported the same disparate immigration just for different reasons. Every drop of blood and suffering here that comes from higher crime rates, female mutilations, honour killings and terrorist attacks and all the rest of it is partly spilt blood they enabled. They imported those problems here and then whenever these attacks happen they come out with their sadness comments. When it's they who enabled it.....and if it were down to me I'd force them to live smack bang in the middle of the ghettos they create. Edited by Stirlingsays (14 Aug 2021 1.24pm)

No but genuine Afghan refugees yes. There are thousands of afghan refugees living in pakistan, they have no problems there and many in Islamabad are running thriving businesses. Far “easier” to trek over the Karakorams than trek through the whole of Europe

Asylum seakers don’t have to stay in the first safe country. At what stage do people stop being asylum seekers if they travel through several to get to the one of their choice?

Goes back to my point about democracy. Nobody voted for this, the majority didn’t want it but we got it anyway. We have had tories running the country for 27 of the last 40 years and the entirety of the 2010s. You have been enjoying the fruits of tory policy. In short you/we did vote for this. The majority did want it and got it

If you are a genuine 'refugee' and fleeing for safety then it would be. Choosing a location for preference is immigration. Shows your 'genuine' for what it is.

My question to those that are happy for unrestricted immigration into this country is, what is the maximum number of refugees/asylum seekers/economic migrants would you be willing to accept? Give me a numerical answer.
