Excellent plan. Effectively, social services can repossess a child at the moment but the powers they have aren't strong enough. We just need better regulation of the parenting. Like what happened to the banks in 2008. Problem solved through hard work and creativity you'd expect from Palace. Up yours Marcus Rashford. Stop trying to cover up crap performances with stupid ideas. School's should concentrate on teaching. You should concentrate on football. 3-1 Edited by jeeagles (23 Oct 2020 4.45pm) What do you mean up yours. Blokes doing a fine job and is a proper role model. He is showing a lead as he should. Someone in the limelight like him should show what morality looks like. A bit bleeding different from the current politician group and its advisors.

Look, if you do that how will they be able to get down the shops? Let's not confuse longer term policy issues with a real and immediate emergency.

I cannot overstate how dreadful this post is. No wonder the other site no longer accepts such comments. The children aren't ignorant or selfish are they? You sacrifice the innocents. As for the 'uneducated underclass' that has 'filled up the country' there is no doubt that such people are helping you to maintain your lifestyle and health. As a matter of interest 11% of children were living in households with persistent low income between 2013 and 2017. In FYE 2018, 12% of children fell below the threshold of low income and material deprivation in the UK. And you write this off as not your problem, only that of their parents. FYI, in schools it is the white low income children that do least well. The most materially deprived (Bangladeshis and pakistanis) actually do quite well so very soon you will need to change your words to white uneducated underclass. We need to care, look after the children and consider the future. Apart from the basic humanity - which seems to pass you by - there is also self-interest in avoiding the development of large groups of helpless people. We need to provide support not snarling derision. You and they can't handle the truth. I suggest you get off your moralising self righteous high horse because the fact is that too many people have children they can't afford and too many spend money on themselves rather than feeding their kids. All the time mass immigration allows more and more potential low earners to arrive here, the problem will get bigger.

Right, so you go ahead and issue condoms and then stop immigration, get people to stop gambling, smoking and drinking unless they earn at least £40k a year or don't have children. I don't really disagree. Meanwhile, how about showing a modicum of thought for children. Innocents. Hungry, sad, likely cold. Babies, toddlers, primary school kids, early teens with the weight of the world on their shoulders. Just like Rashford when he was young. How about that eh? I believe you are almost unique in having never once shown an ounce of humanity in your posts. Now is the time.

Nope, that’s not what I said at all, is it. If you lose your job etc that is entirely different. But why have kids if you don’t work? Some girls I know have gone on to have many kids and yet they have literally never done a days paid work in their life! All these kids have to be paid for. Parents need to take responsibility for their own children. One day Dan you and your boyfriend may wish to adopt, I just hope you will be responsible daddies. Nice homophobic slur. Bold on a yellow. You said ‘don’t have a kid unless you can afford one’. It is literally what you said. People’s situations change and sometimes it’s not of their own doing. A lot of families have had their lives turned upside down this year and have lost jobs and hours working not because they’re ‘uneducated’, as the always eloquent and sympathetic Hrolf has suggested, but because we’re in a sh*t situation as a country. No one knows what life has in store for them. We’re in a position now that no one alive in this country has probably been in before. Wanting to make sure hungry kids are fed where parents might not have the means to themselves is just a basic human decency isn’t it?
