Labour are right as tory austerity has meant severe cuts to police and support services. The voters knew that when they voted for them, its no good crying wolf now. The Blair years had a successful policy 'tough on crime and its causes', it worked. But its not a question of one horrific isolated incident, things have to be seen in the round.

Now would be a good time to increase police numbers, per head of population we have far fewer than other equivalent countries. Most crime is committed by young men increase that demographic and what do you expect.

Now would be a good time to increase police numbers, per head of population we have far fewer than other equivalent countries. Let's increase police, army and NHS staff to take up the slack as unemployment goes up.
