Just picking up on the demographics comment and not specific to any TV company.

We are told that young people have no money and don't watch traditional TV.

We are told that the baby boomers are the lucky generation who have it all including house, pension and disposal income.

And yet TV companies are obsessed with chasing the yoof culture and alienating the pale and the stale who actually watch telly and have money to spend.

And to prove the point a little niche TV channels called Talking Pictures (old B&W) run by a father and daughter from their bedroom gets higher ratings than MTV and many BBC programs.

Go figure.

This isn't a question of whether anyone thinks that the above are great pundits or the colour of the panel but the real reasons for their replacement. There is a clear and undeniable directive on SSN to promote all things Black and female. This move is predictable in that sense. The other side of this is entertainment. Regardless of their abilities, the usual panel was amusing because of the humorous nature of their interplay. That has been slightly eroded by SKYs policy of having to include a token Black or Lesbian pundit, although Clinton is obviously a Palace hero and a funny guy, and it did point the way to this obvious eventuality.
In the end, only 4% of the population is Black. Pushing a Black/Leftist agenda, as SKY has relentlessly done over the last couple of years seems like pure politics to me and nothing to do with the current demographic of this country.

Yes it’s a good post. Common sense has gone out of the window as usual. I would understand Ian Wright being hired. Micah Richards I can’t remember seeing. Jermaine Jenas is too clever and analytical for Sky Sports Saturday and Alex Scott or anyone of any sex or trans sex lol who hasn’t played top division football is just bizarre but of course more box ticking.

Anyway, Daily Mail reports or thinks Jeff Stelling is thinking that he may as well go the way it’s gone or going.

Yep, someone at Sky aiming to be like the liberal, woke box ticking BBC could be making the worst decision Sky Sports has made.

quite a lot of the watchfulness of the program was the relationship between Jeff & the lads in the studio, with a new line up that easy going interaction might not happen - similar to the top gear example someone mentioned earlier -

Sacked because of their colour.
Next to go will be Souness, Redknapp, Keane etc.

is Keane the same ethnic group as Tyson Fury ?

difficult to sack if so. Too scary by far.

Really surprised at the strong reaction and assumptions made to this move. It’s not that big a deal.

You speak out and get cancelled really is no big deal? Silently watching it happen just means it continues and worsens, although money talks in the end so if not many watch the new version.... Sweeping out a whole team of presenters who reflect the majority and the show’s viewers but are white, for no doubt a fully minority box ticking new crop just after Le Tissier dares to have an opinion that’s controversial because you might get cancelled if you make it public is no big deal?

It’s a very strange decision business wise and I bet viewing figures dive because of it. But wasn’t lots of businesses going full BLM without researching what it stood for and then back-pedalled once the marxist statements were in the public domain, only the statements were available the whole time.

I also bet they don’t ‘sack’ chris Kamara, not that I would want that because he’s a funny chap, but it’s revealing enough.

Just imagine if it ends up like channel 4’s ‘The Big Narstie.’ It won’t make it to the 3rd round of the FA cup.

Matt Le Tissier had opinions on BLM and Covid.

Other celebrities or reporters and such like are in danger of being cancelled by Owen jones types if they dare have a differing opinion. Very dangerous society to allow to happen. If someone’s opinion is so wrong then see if they make a fool of themselves like Nick Griffin on QT. That’s how it used to be and should be. He was never seen again. They won’t allow an opinion anymore because the opinions they don’t like are sensible.

I would understand that argument if it was just Le Tiss who got the boot. I’m not aware of any controversies regarding the others though unless I missed it?

People can’t have it both ways. If women shouldn’t be allowed on because they haven’t had experience of elite level football, then surely it’s right to have more ethnic minority players who make up 50%+ of the total player pool right now.

For the record, I don’t necessarily disagree with Le Tissier on his BLM comments. Covid not so much.

Get rid of all grey gammon in suits probably. I don’t watch it anymore but it’s opinion and skin colour driven which isn’t what should be happening as we all know. If Chris Kamara stays then it looks quite obvious.
