Seems like he's holding on until he gets a better offer from elsewhere. If he wanted to come to us he would have by now.

I reckon (and all this is just my opinion) he's looking for one of the 'Big 6' to offer him a deal. Perhaps a bit like Wilf, he thinks he's better than he is. Assuming none of the 'Big 6' go for him, then he may well (reluctantly) accept our offer and hope to get a move to one of the 'Big 6' either in January or next summer after he's sparkled like he did two seasons ago.

I think he'll accept the best offer that's on the table over the next week or ten days. Maybe he'd prefer a two year deal to three, as that would give him more opportunity to move to top 6? All speculation on my part. We need a Dazza update!

You could be right about the deal part but he isn't that good to warrant a top six club. He is another above average player, but no superstar. I realise a lot of what is being said here is supposition however if it turns out that he is going to spend his whole time at Palace not wanting to be here, then I am not sure we want him to start with.

Yup, that said, if he doesn't perform to the ability he displayed a couple of seasons back, he doesn't advance.

Also a lot said about his "loyalty" and other such tosh. He's a professional footballer with a small brain and even smaller career.

His contract ran out at Bournemouth. It would have ran out after the season ended but for Covid. He was advised to hold out for a considerably better career-changing offer rather than continue to play on an extended deal. That is, what everyone reading this site would have done. It didn't work. That's it.

Our circumstances are completely different.

All I'm interested in is whether he wants to play for us. If he does I'd be happy to see him in red and blue.

Would be a very good addition his dynamic direct approach is something that we have been missing.
However the guy hasn’t covered himself in glory in the way he handled himself around his departure from Bournemouth. It’ might be poetic justice that he ends up accepting less from his next club than he previously turned down at Bournemouth.

Its becoming patently obvious, he doesn't really want to play for us, but will if no better offer comes in.

After his performances last season, which were bang average, not bothered if he signs or not.

No it isn’t

People that are good at negotiating have complex strategies. We don’t know his agent’s. I seem to remember seeing that he would prefer to be in the South, all other things being equal.

Dazza (in whom I trust!) suggested that if nothing happens over the weekend, we will be in pole position next week, here's hoping...

I think we are in a good position for him.

Spurs seem to be interested in Demarai Gray, West Ham ideally need to offload Anderson, Newcastle already have Alain Saint Maxim on the left. Cant see any other top 6 club go for him.

You can understand why a player holds out for the best deal, but it doesnt exactly endear himself to the fans.

He'll be good for us, if he signs great, if he doesn't plenty more players out there. Too suggest he's a mercenary is unfair.

When Michy joined Chelsea, let's not forget we met the price tag. but couldn't match what Chelsea were prepared to pay him. The prospect of Champions League and trophies and shed loads of cash was better than what we could offer. We've seen how good he was for us for 6 months but to get a player who initially turned us down is going to cost us many millions plus a hell of a lot more in wages.

Chelsea won't let him go for peanuts.

Whatever we are offering Fraser per week is going to be a fraction of what Michy would demand.

Of the two one knows how to play in the premier league one is a squad player, one's wages are reasonable one's are excessive, one is free?

Who do you choose?
