I agree it would be hard to fake but not impossible. Having visited KSC, the US were finding it difficult to launch successful space missions but suddenly with the Russians appearing to be more successful and the Cold War rearing it’s head, within a couple of years, not only had they launched successfully but landed on the moon. This is a debate I often have with my daughter who works in the Space Industry Off now to watch SpaceX dock

If we had faked the Moon landings, surely that have got to Wikileaks by now? Also I think the Russians would have been shouting about it all through the seventies and eighties.
