Lets see how calm they are when Mrs cant do the school run and Mr cant get to work. There is no way any of those mugs are employable

What the graphic clearly demonstrates is that in terms of environmental impact, animal agriculture dwarfs transport emissions, so to chose to champion one and not the other is a fairly reasonable position. Of course, pointing out that everyone uses electricity and has a mobile phone is far more important than any reasoned discussion though. And of course stats that don’t support the argument aren’t important either.

On the stats; it’s interesting reading, but obviously specific to one country in one year, and only comparing greenhouse gas emissions - I don’t think it particularly disproves what I’ve said in terms of championing the animal agriculture angle over another.

I’m not really disagreeing with you. It’s more a general discontent at singers, actors, sportsmen, etc thinking their view has any more validity than anyone else’s. Of course they’re entitled to an opinion but it’s like a Monty Python sketch - Bernie Winters guide to the Exchange Rate Mechanism or Lulu on the Vietnam war.

A bad choice in protesting in tube stations, or any other relatively environmentally friendly method of transport. The line between publicity and sanity was crossed, and I'd hope that they will think twice next time.

This one just seems to be a reunion for them all to cause mischief. I saw a post from one earlier saying that it's unfair that they have been banned from London whilst Britian First haven't. Let's get this straight, I've no doubt that Tommy Robinson is a vile human being who is full of hate, but he's very careful with how he acts, what he says, broadcasts and does. You lot are a rampaging band of nutcases and there's a cold place in hell for anyone who pisses of London commuters (I dont make the rules). The two guys who jumped on the tube train were self serving arseholes out to antagonise people who'd done a hard days work for no reason but to raise their own profile withing Extinction Rebellion. The response was fair.

ER have achieved their main aim which is to raise awareness about climate change. Protests can get you so far but at some point the public are entitled to ask what is your solution? If ER don't change their tactics they will be seen as a white middle class virtue signalling group and will lose public support. Look at the occupations of their people at Canning Town not exactly the low paid zero hour contract types. As I have posted previously they now need to move beyond snarling up the traffic and start to campaign on specific issues which could be achieved fairly easily. Reduce plastic bottles, reduce packaging pick up litter get kids walking to school etc. If you start with the little things then people will be more likely to listen to you about the bigger challenges. It wont be easy to get the public to give up things but they will earn the respect of people or they can become like Parliament against everything and for nothing. ER are at the crossroads carry on as they are and I expect more resistance from the public change tactics and it will take longer and will be harder but they can build a solid support base with the public.
