What exactly do you mean by "save the planet?" The planet Earth will survive just fine, once the human race has gone.

How much control she actually has over what she does and says is another matter entirely

Will probably end up like Macaulay Culkin

Not a bad analogy really, as I don't think placing kids in the limelight in any capacity typically ends well. That said I can't say I go with Fox News pundits description of the girl as a "mentally ill Swedish child" and " a girl with many mental illnesses".

Mind you i'd probably have to put a bag over her head so I don't have to put up with her scowling.

If I wanted to watch a women scowl at me during sex then i'd just shag the Mrs.

You just know she has a beta boyfriend somewhere licking her toes in the evening.

Maybe not.

I managed to survive my time at school with zero phones: all choices.

The point is that apparently that lifestyles have to change.....Yet most of those that say this don't get beyond differently coloured bins.

When it comes to actually being inconvenienced suddenly examples are thin on the ground.

Virtue signalling from a mostly vacuous and hypocritical political stance.

Blimey Stirling I thought you were a handsome chap but you’ve aged badly for someone at school when everyone had a phone.

I can’t think of anything that damaging to the environment at school before phones unless you had fortunes to buy new trainers all the time. Maybe computer games or sega or Nintendo 1 or whatever. Atari, yes! Had to be doing well to have an Atari.

Yep, I remember getting the caine...circa 82..which was for a broken window for which I played no part in breaking...but I'm no snitch.

Didn't tell my Dad as I'd have had the belt.

Ouch . . .

You have my sympathies, I used to get the cane mainly because my father was a school teacher. So any time I was 'caught' or transgressed I had the cane from him.

Guess kids today would sue their parents/Teachers if that ever happened. And NO, no-one would ever snitch.

'82, interesting year for me, I was in the Falklands aboard HMS Sheffield.
