Not many seem to be disputing that Parish has done a good job on the whole.
However, recent decision making has been head scratching without evidence of any coherent plan or strategy.
The latest of these decisions is to seek to extend Benteke’s contract knowing that he doesn’t suit Hodgson’s playing formation and that he’s very unlikely to recover his form.
You can be a fan and still query and question matters without being a ‘snowflake.’

He’s shrewd, that’s for sure, but it doesn’t mean he’s particularly good at running a football club at this level. Getting us up to the championship in Zaha’s final season, yes. The initial survival seasons, yes. But for the last 3+ years or 4 it’s been pretty poor. The only reason we are here is because he’s made blinding mistakes, and covered some up with even more spending on top of the spending beyond our means already spent.

He’s effectively hamstrung us to the point that nobody in management would come near us probably and he’s quite happy as long as Roy will accept any shyte happening. Benteke extending for instance.

After all of it, what will we have to show for it, because that’s what you should be asking after we’ve stayed here because of spending more money than many other clubs and nearly all of them when considering spending over revenue ratios.

That isn’t skilled really. That’s just spending loads of money.

What will we have to show for 7 or 8 years or whatever it might if we get relegated then? Sweet FA apart from problems galore will be what I expect. Unless another AWB or Zaha miraculously falls into Parish’s lap he won’t have a clue how to really deal with it properly, and a lot of that is because of all the inexperienced ex players he’s surrounded himself with all this time. While other clubs source experience, Parish hires acquiescent people, and there’s your problem.

Oh well, Benteke being our number 1 will make my mind up for me and I’ll be back when something football focused and not making mugs of all of us.
