Am I the only one who remembers Dick Graham in goal?

The guy who sits behind me started supporting in 1947. So that makes two of you! My own first goalie (which I wrongly put down earlier in this thread as Vic Rouse) was Roy Bailey, who I think succeeded Dick Graham.

John Jackson my favorite - he turned me into a Palacefan after a fantastic display in the fa cup versus chelsea, one of the first matches I saw live on Norwegian television. Had the pleasure of a nice chat with him when playing for Orient in a match in Norway. He sad Malcolm Allison sold him because he wanted his own team with less conection to the former team managed by Bert Head, a pitty!

Ray Potter was the first I remember. He went on to have a successful career with West Brom, and seeing an ex Palace player on the forerunner to Match of the Day ( Sports Special? ) was a one off back then.

Bill Glazier was my first keeper, but his immediate successor, Tony Millington, also deserves a mention Bill for me too. Poor old Tony Millington quickly found himself out in the cold when it became apparent that Jacko was better. Still, he fared better than John "half an appearance" Smout.

My first goalie was Roy Bailey, towards the end of the 1951-52 season. My all time favourite though was Jacko.

Lev Yashin was the first Keeper I saw in the flesh when the Russian team were training at the Nat West Bank sports grounds in Norbury during the 66 world cup . I went to Norbury manor which was just around the corner and we all went along and saw them train . I guess it was some sort of hands across the community type of event but there was great excitement in seeing the 'black spider' who was at the time rated no1 in the World . Jacko was my first Palace keeper .
