I don't think anyone had a particularly good game with everyone misplacing passes on both teams which suggests the conditions were having an impact. McArthur worked hard and PvA made some important challenges, but both were guilty of mistakes too. Wilf trying to do too much and Bentenke pretty anonymous. Meyer tried but ran into trouble and didn't affect the game that much. Even AWB was guilty of a few mistakes, although defensively fairly sound. Vicente probably my MOTM. I was hoping for a more relaxed and entertaining game but it was pretty dire to watch. My first ever Palace game was a dire 0-0 draw with Everton back in 1991. Andy Gray missed a penalty I think?

How did we get anything from that game? We were absolutely bloody awful. Richarlison's play acting was pathetic. Hodgson will be w***ing himself into a coma tonight over that point. If he had a straight choice between 3 points and 1 point he'd take the 1. The football is his natural enemy, preferring to play in strict lines without it shadowing the opposition, the ripple of a goal net a myth, and flair play a capital punishment offence. A nice, comfortable no-thrills point is his tonic. Good old, steady Hodgson. Nothing better than a 75th minute like for like sub no matter what. Lovely.

That's rich coming from you, Everton lucky against United my arse. What level of football did you playy at then before you start saying someone knows nothing about football. I'l back my football experience against yours any day. Exhibit one - you think hennessey is a good keeper and is better than Guaita. The prosecution rests, you are clueless about the game.

Not sure how Owen gets himself dressed in the morning, let alone managed to be an awesome striker. He must be some kind of rain Man for football.

Of the three matches played in London today there were a total of two goals. The wind made this game a nightmare. Both teams had all kinds of problems with it. A point is an accomplishment given that gale. It even blew balls played on the ground.

The wind didn't spoil Southampton Vs Bournemouth, absolute goal fest from two teams playing positively. This is because the wind in Southampton comes off the sea and with the tide compression makes the wind lighter than than it actually is when the tide is going out which it was this afternoon . This actually helps the ball flight especially as St Mary's is built on a wind blind which prevents the ball swirling ,a problem that effects Selhurst it being built in a dip .
