This post has been merged from a topic called 'Burnley match thread ' by bexleydave That was a poor first half but we are winning so that's all that matters. With the wind with us in the second half we will need Benteke up front to win headers. This game is passing Myer by, I was praying for a big performance but you can now see why he is not a regular. Id swap him with Jimmy Mc at half time to try stop us being over run in midfield.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Burnley match thread ' by bexleydave Dann and Tomo looking solid. Shame we didn't have this combo on Weds as Dann could of done a job with Lukaku. Very scrappy but still overjoyed to have our necks just in front. COYP !!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Burnley match thread ' by bexleydave I think today's team selection actually sheds some light on last match's line up. Today we have picked a very tall and aerially dominant team with Hennessey, Dann, Kouyate all brought in. If this was the plan all along it would make sense why Roy decided to play Schlupp in centre midfield and it may well be Jeff's fitness that is seeing Hodgson keep him on as much as possible. Even made me think about the late PVA sub, PVA has played almost every minute of league and cup matches and I think his dip in performances is probably due in part to been tired.

i would still be happy with a draw, especially if ManUre get a winner against Southampton. Same, we need a HT shake up.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Burnley match thread ' by bexleydave Back to our school boy standard of play which doesn't which doesn't surprise me one bit. Let's hope we pick it up in the 2nd. half. Sure it was a lucky goal (about time we had some luck go our way), probably go on and win now, lets hope so anyway.

Haha, the height plan would be perfect if Hennessey could actually catch the ball rather than flapping at it.
