Well, based on my experience from last night`s game (and witnessed several times before). No matter what advantages it brings, i have decided that i don`t like VAR.

It simply feels like ejaculating without orgasm. There is a result but no tension.

And whenever there seems to be a tension (goal, appeal etc) you have to cool off.

It has been launched in my country this year. So far i can say feedback is more positive than being negative. I can confirm nearly 95% of cases, it brought justice. At few incidents, there were asks on why that incident was not reviewed with VAR.

However, based on my comments above; i am not sure if i would trade off more justice with less tension.

It is obvious that VAR will continue but maybe regulated to avoid this annoying `TV-timeout` look like pauses.

As a clue, the same rule applies to Prison.

I vividly remember Thierey Henri's handball goal in Paris that knocked Ireland out of the world cup.
VAR would surely have corrected that.

I agree, all the arm wrestling at corners will throw up what has been blatantly ignored this season but, to possibly our benefit, some of the fouls on Zaha may now be punished - we can live in hope.

My initial reaction too, compounded by various pundits' response.

Then it struck me that I'd seen the self same thing not given (no VAR) against Ramos. The Spanish media all said it was a trick of his that he generally gets away with - use your arms to make yourself bigger then turn away to make any hand ball look accidental. The giveaway is the eyes.

Last night, Kimpembe did exactly that & if you watch in slo-mo he's looking at the ball & following it's path right up until he can no longer physically do so.

The thing that convinces me it was the right decision though is the fact that Clattenburg says it was wrong.

Edit: Forgot to say, all those pundits I've seen say "no pen" are those against VAR anyway.

I really don't get why there can't be an appeals system. No appeal, no VAR. 2 appeals per team, per match, successful appeals mean the right to appeal is maintained. Any player can appeal anything (but it must be appealed immediately) and none of this "clear and obvious error" nonsense, that's pure bulls***.

You'd lose flow, especially at the end of tight games, but maybe there would be fewer arguments with the ref and refs would do better for that.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.
