It's a term specific to angry, right-wing, middle aged white males, coined by young, left-wing white people. And I'll sign you up for the "it's not a snowflake when I do it" club.
I just have a problem with hypocrisy. Can I use a word that negatively targets a specific type of black person and not be called racist? Double standard....but standard anti white stuff from leftists.......fine, just as long as you are honest about it. Edited by Stirlingsays (04 Feb 2019 10.26am)

museum : factual stuff of interest, all on display for us to muse at. To marvel at. To stimulate our curiousity.
and an apologetic footnote to bemoan the much smaller proportion of white men partnering off with black women ? Maybe a Sociologist could give their tuppence worth. lets remove prejudice from the equation and just look at the facts ? Since the time of Windrush up to today. Maybe the BBC could get involved and celebrate our common history ?

Stereotypes and huge leaps.....fun, if a bit dim.

Nah, that would be racist mate. The correct solution for me is to properly include and integrate black history with current museums. Gammon isn't a racist statement, come on now Now you are getting it. We don't need 'Black' museums or White ones. Just museums. Perhaps you could make some suggestions as to what Black history should be included. And 'Gammon' is racist but I don't care because I stopped worrying about name calling when I was about 12.

In fairness most museums I go to are trying to be inclusive and diverse but it has to be relevant to that museum otherwise you are just crowbarring something or someone in because of their skin colour.

Here on the BBC we have a story highlighting the call for a black culture museum by a knighted architect. Apparently that's alright and something to promote......no words like 'black supremacy' being used and nothing about discrimination or racism.....despite this clearly being about race which is discriminating on the basis of genetics. So if we are having museums celebrating someone's skin colour and race history based upon genetic difference can we also have the same for white people then? No? Why's that? Identity politics is for all or none at all. Edited by Stirlingsays (02 Feb 2019 3.30pm) Stirling old boy, WTF are you doing posting such garbage while Palace are in a relegation scrap with our rivals? Get a life!!

I've not been to a museum for at least a decade, so couldn't tell you what they are and aren't lacking ,but contributed to this thread to provide an alternative point of view to why people might want a museum catering to black history
