Is two home wins all season and 20 goals in 22 games good enough then with the squad at his disposal?
We have deteriorated from last season from an entertainment standpoint, as an attacking unit and the players other than Wan Bissaka, Hennessy (up until yesterday!) have in the main gone backwards.
It’s valid to pose questions about Hodgson’s management this season without necessarily demanding his sacking.

It's clear that with 20 plus attempt at goal and c a n only score 1 goal we are very poor up front and clearly need not one but 2 strikers in this window !! We all know that not going to happen as we don't have the fund so we need to rely on big Ben who I think we all agree is crap so until we get some additional fund or sell one or 2 of our on form players for overpriced money our situation will continue relying on luck because we definitely do not have consistenty .

Get a grip anyone that thinks Hodgson should be sacked. There are very fine margins in football and unfortunately our finishing has been woeful all season hence the lack of points.

Sakho missed an open goal against Newcastle.
Zaha and Mccarturs misses against Watford.
Only a couple of examples of where we should have scored and won games.
If we scored half the sitters we missed then we would be sitting comfortably around mid table place and Hodgson would be the best thing since sliced pan.
Meyer doesn't start because at this present moment he is not good enough.
We will not get relegated this season but will finish comfortably around 11th-14th which is about our level at this moment.

Personally, don't think getting rid of RH is the answer at all. He has got us playing more like a PL team than any other IMO. We have a problem converting chances and it's clear we need a goal scorer so what are DF and SP doing about it, in short nothing, again IMO.

6 wins from 18 games to basically stay in this league again this year. I reckon we will get that plus a few more. We are not going to be pushing for top 6 anytime soon so a close to mid table finish should be satisfactory for all involved.

So what you point out suggests that this should be the absolute focus in training, no? That and delivering a decent set piece. All Zaha had to do was to lightly chip the keeper, it's a goal. Panic stations ahoy!

No the point is games are lost due to fine margines. Luck good or bad does play its part. Roy is a fair minded pragmatic manager. We have a commited squad of players who are doing their dammest to win matches. Nobody likes loosing but its isn't becasue Roy or the squad arn't fully committed to doing their best.

I beg to disagree. Starting with 3 defensive mids at home is a sin in my eyes, an then to think Wilf is a centre forward is just plain ignorance and stubbornness. There were options on the bench. Did see his reply when asked whether he thought if Wickham made a difference in the previous game. Go and have a look and watch the body language, well shifty. Not sure what is going on, but I do know that Hodgson is well past his sell by date.

Roy doesn't feel Wickham improves are chances of winning a game.He made that quite clear, although I think he is worth starting to see if he can make a difffernce Roy doesn't so I would suggest his days are numbered. The three at the back is Roy's pattern of play again we ani't going to change him or it. So sack Roy errrr no who is any beter has the experince in the Prem?

He is dream employee for SP so no way he would be fired and if he did want to leave SP would be begging for him to stay.

How this guy keeps praising scouting and puts up with no funds is shocking and if he beliefs what he is saying to media he really is past it.

Who would replace him say he does tomorrow? I can't think of any one that would want to come here.

I said this before let him retire end of the season but he wont I can see him seeing out the new 2 year deal he signed which means if he is backed in the summer then goes the next season we could be in same mess player wise as before new manager not liking players wanting new ones which means need to spend which SP does want to do.

Yeah, im sure they should have training sessions on tapping a ball home into an empty net from 2 yards.

No manager can control players missing open goals. The fact of the matter is, our style of football and tactics are creatong endless chances but the players are mising them.

So that is not Roy's fault.
