but thats exactly what the media wants you to think because they are essentially controlled by the government and so cannot give an objective account on exactly whats happeneing there. for example they always tell us how many american/british soldiers have been killed but never how many iraqi's and women/children etc. don't believe everything you read - you have to read between the lines. look outside the box.

i actually think the coverage has been more honest than it was in gulf war 1, and even if facts are hidden, which they always are, anyone can see this was a terrible mistake, just look at the state of the government at the moment - hardly a united and strong force, more a crumbling party with a rapidly ageing prime minister.

I think some people have been reading The Sun/Daily Mail too much. Nuke Iraq?! Sort it out.

It was my dream to play for Palace and to make my debut. I've always played for the club so if I'm playing here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Yeah bring on Kennedy. Tired of ranting, drained of optimism for political future.

Up the Palace though!

i read the star "100% fact"

im just wondering what these people can contribute to the world, MOST of them pledge to kill us and even in our own country they say they will defy us and want war against us.

build a 12 foot wall all the way around the place and let em have it out bare knuckle bare bollock on the cobbels.

at the moment im the most unpatriotic person in england. im ashamed of our country and think our government is useless and currently cant see any party which is strong enough to take over from them.

this war is one that has been fought through the media for the first time, and the real issues have got lost somewhere in the midst.

a war on terror? which will take place in any country Bush wants it to next, probably North korea. if hes going to do this he has got to expect people to defend themselves, adn fight for what they believe in.

After all, one countries terrorist is anothers freedom fighter.

Let them get on with it, we've tried to help and yet, are still wasting a s*** load of money on a country that obviously doesn't welcome us.

Please don't forget though, the coalition haven't beheaded anybody but they have killed thousands of innocent people and been involved in alleged murders, rapes etc..

But what about Saddam, he killed millions, but dont worry about that.

Eh?! I never mentioned Saddam. What's your point? Are you saying because he killed people, it's ok for the coalition to do the same?

Edited by jcreedy (14 May 2004 11:44am)

You say the coalition have killed thousands of innocent people, but the point i was making was that Saddam was killing his own innocent people. He was using all sorts of chemicals and god know what else agints people, using them to test his own weapons.

Nuff Said...

You can't put them all the same boat. The majority of Iraqi civilians welcomed the removal of Saddam's reign.
I'm sure you get as annoyed as I do when people put football fans in the same bracket as football hooligans. We're all different.
You're never going to hear the stories of peace, kindness and life-saving from the war as it wouldn't sell newspapers.
