One thing the BBC should do more of is promote lesser sports that aren't picked up by Sky and BT. That vast reach would help promote youngsters to get into athletics and basketball, for example. While the coverage and sponsorship generated from the audiences would help support grassroots clubs. Helping kids and local communities should be the role of the 'public service broadcaster' when it's not commercially viable for private companies.

That's not to promote grass roots or lesser known sports - that's just giving the nod to the feminist/equalities brigade.

You are right, but anything that promotes health and fitness for lesbians is a good thing.

But seriously...
It is disturbing how many fat people you see these days, especially young women. Encouraging activity is a plus even if women's football is crap.
Except for Palace Ladies of course ahem.

I would definitely have you down as someone with familiar with prehistoric traits though, so perhaps you should be taken seriously for once.

well that is either a) a b1tchy comment from a normal or b) a normal comment from a b1tch. or c) or maybe a misinterpretation at this end and rudeness is in the eye of the keyboard-holder.

which is it DanH ?

I'm not sure the pundits on its big brother show have more insight than the pundits on Big Brother. YMMV.

if Clare Balding happens to be gay then fine. That is her own private business and good luck to her. i fully support her legal/statutory rights to be treated with dignity and respect.

so why do the BBC seem to shout the fact from the rooftops in order to 'virtue signal' just how enlightened/right-on/tolerant they are ?

they wouldnt make a public song and dance if somebody was straight. In 2018, who cares about the sexuality of the ticket inspector at your train station ?

Thatcher had the right attitude to homosexuality.

Legalise it but keep its promotion away from schools and institutions.

I don't believe in persecuting people for behaviour that doesn't affect others.

However, one sexuality creates the next generation the other doesn't.......People who equate these to be equal are selling warm words....'feels' instead of 'reals'.....what they want to be true not the actual truth.

Nature has zero interest in equality....the only thing on planet earth that gives a crap about it are human beings....and majority western ones at that.

Ha ha. You would need to play football for a week to burn off a bargain bucket.

What has Claire Balding got to do with my humourous implication that many women footballers are lesbians? Apart from the fact that she is a lesbian.
I don't care a hoot, I just think it is rather unrealistic to suggest otherwise for some sort of PR/PC nonsense.
