One thing the BBC should do more of is promote lesser sports that aren't picked up by Sky and BT. That vast reach would help promote youngsters to get into athletics and basketball, for example. While the coverage and sponsorship generated from the audiences would help support grassroots clubs. Helping kids and local communities should be the role of the 'public service broadcaster' when it's not commercially viable for private companies. Edited by Penge Eagle (25 Sep 2018 3.10pm) i notice that this week a womans version of motd started.

Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (25 Sep 2018 5.23pm) if Clare Balding happens to be gay then fine. That is her own private business and good luck to her. i fully support her legal/statutory rights to be treated with dignity and respect. so why do the BBC seem to shout the fact from the rooftops in order to 'virtue signal' just how enlightened/right-on/tolerant they are ? they wouldnt make a public song and dance if somebody was straight. In 2018, who cares about the sexuality of the ticket inspector at your train station ?

Thatcher had the right attitude to homosexuality. Legalise it but keep its promotion away from schools and institutions. I don't believe in persecuting people for behaviour that doesn't affect others. However, one sexuality creates the next generation the other doesn't.......People who equate these to be equal are selling warm words....'feels' instead of 'reals'.....what they want to be true not the actual truth. Nature has zero interest in equality....the only thing on planet earth that gives a crap about it are human beings....and majority western ones at that.

Apart from the fact that she is a lesbian.
