Dear Joe, We all love you, so could you do us a small favour or two? Replace Buttler and Jennings with yourself and Stokesy in the slips. Post a third man fielder saving 50 plus runs. Replace bowlers who think they are Gods gift with bowlers who bowl line and length. Keep smiling and don't let them get you down......

I’m sure you’ll remember David Steele, Willo, brought in by Tony Greig to try to keep the rampant Dennis Lillee and Jeff Thompson at bay in the 1975 Ashes series. It was late in his career, but despite having little natural talent, he showed what could be achieved if you ‘get stuck in’. His reward was a series against Roberts, Holding, Holder and Daniel (West Indies)!!

Nothing grates like a last wicket stand. On the other hand we may not have to bat tonight (about 30 mins left).

40 runs more than they should've got but I'll take it after them being 140 odd for 2 at one point.
