So is it an 'ausfarht' from Schalke and an 'einfarht' to Palace. Or is it good night from him. If it all goes 'kaput' then it must be before next March, as the EU will not be accepting complaints after that date.

They already have , Kane and Pochettino have signed bumper new contracts and Ali etc are expected to in the near future too. But both deals were predominantly bonus related IIRC. He’s not guaranteed the £100k+ a week albeit he’ll probably get it due to goals scored, games won etc.

Roy said a few times towards end of the campaign that our CMs were absolutely exhausted, I think with the formation he likes playing too, CMs playing inside left/right, that hes the kind of manager that wants a large amount of CMs and they'd all get a fair crack at the whip

I’d say that’s a very welcome problem to have. The issue with not identifying someone else is that we then solely rely on McCarthur. Although I definitely want to see more of Riedewald this season and the introduction of Kirby, whether the latter is ready to burden the responsibility of being number 1 should Mccarthur get injured may be a bit risky. I agree it’s unlikely RE Drinkeater. Shame about de Souza as he seemed to have rave reviews from Turkish fans. Gotta admit I’ve been very pessimistic so far in this window. But if we can secure this, and identify more of a box to box midfielder to partner Luka, plus an attacking player. We’d have the makings of a very competitive squad.
