I'd put up with Neymar on a free At a reasonable fee, Ayew is an OK choice - particularly compared with the injury-prone alternatives we have been linked with. He can be a useful sub for front three and his unimpressive stats may just be down to being with poor teams. He is also young enough to be re-sellable He will need to adapt to not being an automatic starter though

I think this will be our last piece of business this window, however it seems to hinge on selling Riedwald. An underwhelming transaction but ok.

From The Guardian two minutes ago: Jordan Ayew – wanted by Crystal Palace – is creeping towards the exit door at Swansea City. Of the 26-year old, last season’s top-scorer, new manager Graham Potter said: “There’s no further news on Jordan – he’s just not been here. That tells you that he’s not part of what we’re trying to do, by his own actions.” What top scorer? 6 goals in the PL cause one was a penalty and goals against MK Dons in the Cup games. Does this make a top scorer these days? Geeez, Swansea mustvhave had really poor players if he ended up top scorer. And his season before this he has an even worse record

He was Swansea's top scorer last year and (excluding penalties) only Zaha scored more for Palace

I don't think we should judge Ayew to much on last season with Swansea.... Let's not forget they were absolutely awful last season. No matter how good you are, if you are playing in a very poor side you are not going to save them single handed.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

After Sigurdsson and Llorente, who had kept them up the previous season, left, the others weren't at their level
