I trust Roy will make wise and sensible choices. How much influence does Roy have though. It would be nice to think that Roy had control of footballing matters but if that's true why did we get Rakip and Jach neither of whom Roy bothered playing or even putting in the match day squad

Not sure transfers are Hodgson's forte - certainly not at Liverpool

Back then we were desperate for squad players, had a decent quality first team and a problem with injuries. Rakip and Jach did the job, and thankfully they weren’t required. Now we need to push on, and find players who will take us forward.

Sloroth was 100% his signing. How much game time did he get? Not sure much can be made of the January window though, the club was in a bad state and attracting talent or even wanting to spend money when relagation could be a factor.... Pretty sure the club have regularly backed the managers choice.. good or bad.. we’ve normally bought the players the manager has sanctioned. To say otherwise I don’t think rings true. Pardew bought many players he said wanted, Sam absolutely sanctioned his buys. Yes we have DF now but I can’t imagine Roy won’t be getting the final say on the vast majority of buys.

My West Ham mate’s seem to think he’s coming here. Apparently they want Anderson from Lazio or Pastore from PSG

I posted this on my WhatsApp Group back on the 2nd of June. Looks like Palaces 2nd signing of the summer is going to be Jack Wiltshire on a free transfer. I have been told it’s a 4 year contract with a £5m signing on fee. If true this means we have picked up 2 players for nothing that would have cost us between 30 to 40m in the current window. What great business.

As a person he's a massive dick. As a footballer he's bloody good when fit. I'd be well happy with it if he did sign. Would this mean Cabaye is off?

So based on his injury record over the last 3 seasons, we're seeing fit to pay him £390k per appearance. Please god, do not let us do this ruinous deal.

Of course you have to take into account that if he signs he is an asset we can sell Not sure he has the character but he has something to prove. Also he didn't fare that well for Bournemouth a side more at our level than Arsenal's. It's definitely a position we could do with filling

Can I ask what you base this on as he has played the following over the last 2 Seasons: 16/17 - Arsenal 2 games - Bournemouth 25 games The last 2 seasons have seen him play more games the fact he is a free transfer surely is a no brainier/a risk worth taking. We could go and sign a player for 30m and he gets injured and out for a year. Bolasie as an example for Everton.
