He struggled last season because he came back in off a very serious injury. A full pre-season and I think he might be a different player. Having said that, I don't think he would be Roy's type of player as he can be too much of a maverick. What a smile though

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle I suspect that the only PL club that could rehabilitate him is us. Everton fans seem to hate him, and I suspect most other fans will view him with suspicion due to injury, and frustration due to playing style. I would pay 6m for him and 60k a week in wages. Not more though, because it's still a punt. I suspect they'll want more.

They could allow you to pay him only 60k in the loan year, with them paying the rest, but from the second year you'd have to buy him and pay his wages in full, cause he will not give those up.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle That would be pretty Palace, n'est-ce pas? We sell a player at his peak and net a tidy profit, then he has a nasty injury and is never the same again; so we buy him back. Stupidity.

Good suggestion but Bolasie will want more to match his contract of about £100k per week. Yep, I won't pretend it was particularly realistic, but you never know. wages would be a stumbling block for sure. Bolasie on a 100 and not performing would put a lot of players' backs up.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle Transfer fees don't work in the way many people think. It's very rare for a cheque to be handed over it's normally a fee spread out over a prolonged period of time paid in installments. I wonder if Everton have paid of the full amount for Yannick yet. If not it could make negotiating his return to us a bit easier. As no `new` money would have to be found just agreeing to alter the payment structure. Just a thought. This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle No chance. It's obvious we are trying to do away with 100k pw earners or at least reduce the amount of them. Palace might aswell have keptd cabaye and pay him his 100k as he is more consistent than yannick Edited by matthau (24 Jul 2018 5.41pm)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle My 2 pence. Bolasie's wage. He signed for Everton for £27m? He would demand at least £100k a week for that fee. A club can't pay him £60k a week when his transfer fee suggests he is worth a lot more. If Cabaye was on £80k and he cost us £10m and Benteke is on £100k and he cost £26m why would anyone think Bolasie would be on less than £100k? Bolasie's final ball. He is erratic at best with both shooting and crossing. Someone said "his whipped delivery could be perfect for Benteke" but in my experience players who are known for being good in the air prefer attacking balls. In other words, an arched delivery, floating, because Benteke would be odds on to win it against most defenders. It might not be on target but that's a different problem. Bolasie's skillset. The ACL injury has taken some of his pace, it ain't coming back because it never does. It effects a player mentally too, especially one who twists and turns putting stress on the knee. I've had the injury though as a result of a motorbike accident. Bolasie does have skills but this isn't YouTube. A wise purchase? Palace are not a club who can spend over £10m and not see a return. Cabaye cost that and left at the end of his contract. Can anyone see us buying Bolasie for, say, £15m on a 4 year contract and seeing any return from him when he is 33? We'd ave to sell him before that and I doubt he'd be worth anywhere near £10m at the age of 32 when in he last year of his contract. Everton won't take a 50% loss so best to skip. We have enough players recovering from ACL injury (Wickham, Dann, Puncheon spring to mind). Leave alone and enjoy the memories.
