over on the BBS they are speculating Man U have a 50% sell-on clause. Which would be a huge incentive for us to pay him whatever it takes to want to stay.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

I go back to a much earlier post of mine.
I would pay him a signing on fee to keep both him and his Agent happy financially and give him a pay rise.
He is currently irreplaceable to CPFC and so we need to make him feel even more wanted than he is now.
He has adulation from the fans, a Club that will allow him to play as he wants, a team where he is invaluable and he has International football in place - he doesn't need a bigger Club unless he is after trophies - in which case he needs to leave but be prepared to be a squad member who will be rotated.

if so that would make it practically impossible to sell him - so logically it is unlikely that it is true (or the whole story)

I am sure Man Utd are experienced enough to see that if they make the disincentive to sell so great (we only get half the money) then we won't sell and they will never get the sell on benefit

if it is true then more likely he will have to stay, even if he wants away which hopefully won't happen anytime soon

the other thing that could happen is that Parish could buy out the sell on clause for say £10m which Man Utd might accept rather than get nothing because the only logical thing for us to do is let Wilf run down his contract over another 4 years

What are trophies worth at the end of the day? I’ve got a few from when I was a kid playing. They haven’t enhanced my life like the money Wilf is on would. That’s the line I’d be going in with if I was Parish

Anybody would do a good job in comparing a schoolboy or Tandridge or 5-a-side medal with a Prdmier league or champions league winners medals. Luckily he knows he could move somewhere and not actually be part of much of it so the future of Wilf is really down to big managers out there and how they and Wilf communicate through agents over any interest. Otherwise he’s staying.

Little league. Didn’t win anything in the Tandridge unfortunately. Turned the big move down and stayed with my local club. D’oh!

£50m is laughable - our premier league status is at stake

£150m still wouldn't make sense given our ability to get the quality we need in to guarantee survival next year

I have stopped listening to those two - Durham in particular just ruins my drive home!

Completely irreplaceable, we are really just Zaha and ten other blokes.

According to Sky he pledged his allegiance to Ivory Coats. Perhaps it's part of his new clothing range.

The rumours/reports about him leaving still keep happening even though i thought he said he was staying.

I think all eyes will be on him at the final whistle next week for any clues on whether he's saying goodbye or not.
